I work in chemistry. why do you put phenoxyethanol in it? i would imagine as a preservative or antibacterial. but can become an irritant on skin.

Thanks for your question. This is required as a preservative in order to stay compliant with our OTC product and to be shelf stable due to the aqueous ingredients (water and aloe vera juice which makes it subject for moisture build up). Without this, jars of Eczema Honey Original Skin-Soothing Cream would mold (go bad). The percentage used is small and is not an irritant. Hi! Our product does not contain any cholesterol and is not for ingestible use.  We do use USDA Organic Honey, and our product is Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty-Free, so it is technically not Vegan due to the use of Honey, however it is Cruelty Free. Hope this helps answer your question.

Thanks for your question. Yes, Eczema Honey Original (and Nut-Free) Skin-Soothing Cream can be used to treat eczema around the eyelids. Would recommend applying a dime sized quantity on your palm and then applying it to your eyelids and under the eyes. Should feel cooling and soothing along with relieve any inflammation.
