These work really well over any shoe. Easy to put on. Takes a few seconds to walk in them safely as your foot gets stuck in the ground once you get in to a rhythm they work really well. I really enjoyed using mine. In autumn then again in spring when I sewed seed in bare patche. The straps are really well placed and of a good quality. Very sturdy and easy to use.

They seem sturdy but be careful when walking over paving or gravel as that becomes an interesting experience! I stumbled and very nearly punctured the hosepipe 😂 There's nothing complicated about assembly and they seem to work very well providing good aeration to the soil. If they last as long as I think they should then they're certainly good value for money compared to many others that will only probably last a few uses. The packaging makes interesting claims about them being a good way to exercise but I'm not entirely convinced about that! They're comfortable enough as you'd expect and make decent size and length holes in the lawn. I personally find that with our clay soil it's much better to wear only one shoe and not fall over.

This was a hard one to be fair. They certainly better than the rollers as they have busy weight to work with. They also come with spare spikes and little spanner (some more stuff to put in the odds and sods draw to be forgotten. They robust abd sturdy reminds me of school days with the rugby boots. The price is reasonable for it compared to to rollers too. I do like the fact that I can use them same time im using to lawnmower so can makesure i hit all the lawn so my steps will hit all my lawn for the next few weeks. Now the problem. So the velcro straps. Not got the biggest fit but are bit fiddle to get on to my garden shoes and the little triangle bits are hard to refeed them through. I do think that bit is poor design on behalf of the designers. But overall I am looking forward to see hiw the lawn looks this year.

Simple and effective, took a few minutes to get used to walking in them on the grass but after that so easy to get on and use.

I bought a pair of these, and quite honesty when I was pressing the Buy button I thought I might be wasting my money. Our lawn is full of moss and thatch, and I’ve just begun a programme of lawn improvement, to cut down on the moss and help bring the grass back. I mechanically weeded the moss, and then added grass seed to the treated surface. This needs watered-in with liquid fertiliser, so I bought these Aerator Shoes in the hope that they’d put holes through the thatch, and help the liquid fertiliser get through to the grass roots. The soil on our lawn is very shallow and compacted, so I expected these shoes just to sit on the surface, or at best only go in part-way. However, in use the long spikes penetrate to their full length, and a few minutes shuffling sideways over a test area left it peppered with tiny holes. Hosing the liquid fertiliser onto this resulted in it disappearing into the ground noticeably quicker. They ball up a little bit around the spikes in use (see photos) but not so much as to make you stop and spend time clearing them. A couple of things to note: I waited until after a few heavy showers had pre-softened the lawn. In use, you need to be really mindful all the time while wearing them - they really dig in and it would be easy to trip over yourself - or even step on your other foot - while wearing them. You have to remember you have them on at all times; that’s why I recommend using them in small squares across the lawn, with a break in between. For the price they’re well made and the straps did not come loose during around an hour of use. I have size UK11/EU46 feet and they fitted me absolutely fine. They’re certainly not on the front line of lawn treatment, but I think they’re actually going to be useful as an additional treatment while I’m doing other things. I’m going to experiment wearing them while de-thatching another portion of the lawn soon; the fact that they do penetrate full length and seem to work well gives me confidence that they’ll help the lawn to breath and establish a healthier root system. They also provide a useful strength workout for the lower legs! Good value and a useful addition to your lawn treatment armoury!

Very good, so easy to use

Upside: Well made and they work (or seem to, time will tell). Use the little spanner provided to tighten any spikes that may be “factory loose”. 3 spare ones provided which is good. Great for a small (ish) / medium lawn, not rolling acres. Downsides ? : Not really ; use care and common sense. Fiddly to put on so maybe sit down. Don’t walk on hard surfaces. Make sure your shoes / boots are on tight and your upper foot is protected / padded - the Velcro strap needs to be tight. As others have said; the all important “walk” - not normally. If your lawn is wet / damp the spikes will possibly be held by suction. It may (will) catch you out if overconfident- Practice small steps first ! Any balance problems, then maybe use a stick / walking pole until you get the technique right.

This product fits perfect, steady grip on your shoe and won’t come off. It does a perfect job since the pins are sharp! It’s plug and play straight out of the box

Other than being laughed at by my wife and neighbours (you look like a fool😂) it does the job of airing the lawn. For smaller patches of grass.

Quand j’ai reçu le paquet, j’ai pensé devoir faire du bricolage avant de pouvoir m’en servir MAIS NON. Tout était prêt et il y avait une notice pour l’emplacement des lacets en fonction de la pointure simplifiée (petit moyen grand). j’ajoute qu’il y a un set complet de 3 pointes ainsi qu’une clé pour les fixer. Le produit est solide et bien conçu mais ces sets de remplacement soulignent le respect du client. MERCI J’ai chaussé mes sandales et je suis restée clouée sur place, littéralement. J’ai essayé de marcher sans succès. Alors j’ai soulevé mes pieds verticalement et j’ai pu enfin décoller mes pieds du sol en marchant comme un robot. Ainsi on combine jardin et sport. J’ai donc commencé à marcher dans mon petit jardin et j’ai vraiment senti la terre sous mes pieds. Certains côtés étaient sec, d’autres sablonneux ou spongieux. Ces chaussures m’ont permis d’aider à alléger le sol et de mieux connaître mon jardin pour mieux en prendre soin. Je recommande pour les petits jardins ou les grands sportifs :-)
