Atwood 146-041950 Screen Door Latch

It was a perfect fit. It’s easy to install with just a few screws and removing and replacing the screen spline. It would be helpful it there was a note or simple installation instructions describing the spline and screen connection. I had read a previous review and understood this step. Without knowing this, someone might try to remove unnecessary screws and have difficulty with the install. Otherwise I’m very happy with this part although it’s a little pricey. It’s listed as a Winnebago part but fits all other RV’s with a similar door latch.

Exact replacement for my RV screen door. Operation was a little stiff at first but some liberal dosing with spray silicone cured that. Prior to installing, I would recommend that you spray it internally with silicone holding it so it runs thru it. Once the liquid carrier evaporates off leaving the dry silicone it operates eadily.

It would have been nice if this came with instructions. This is not a level 1 easy install at all, but.... it is the exact part I needed.

getting the screen material back into the latch assembly was challenging for me

Right replacement part for 2018 Sportscoach 408DB motorhome but expensive and no installation instructions. YouTube and RV forum pointed out that screen is secured by part.

This is a stock replacement part used to open and close the screen door on a motor home. It has a plastic striker that seems to be the weak part. This small piece breaks and you have to replace the entire latch. Not to be too critical they do last several years.
