It makes the classic ding noise and can get quite loud. I installed on my vilano bike and also on my wife's trek bike. Both have different handlebar sizes but no issues. My bike has a slight curve and it still secured fine. They mounted and fit snug and has not fallen off. We went biking a couple of times already and used the bells constantly, sometimes just ring it for fun. This gives us peace of mind especially since our sidewalks are shared with walkers, so it's safe to have a bell to alert others. I'd order again, cheap and good value.

**Q: Will this fit a golf cart steering wheel?**
A: It will fit on almost anything with a little imagination and duct tape but for a golf cart yelling “ get the hell out of my way im late for my tee time” would probably be the best way to go.

**Q: Can i ask folks is this bell "solid" and "no" jingling, ringing, etc.when not rung "no" light sounding rings even if super faint when you hit bumps?**
A: The bell jingles with every sidewalk seam I roll over.  It’s like a bell on a cat’s collar, everyone can hear you coming even when you don’t want to be heard.

**Q: what is the screw size ?  First ride it loosened up and fell out... guess I have to find something that will fit...oh yay**
A: Suggest you take the bell to the hardware store & they can find the correct screw.

These bike bells are a nice quality. Aluminum and they're very lightweight. It was easy to install too, no issues with it, just need to use a phillips screwdriver to clasp the two sides together.
