Established in 1891 by Bernardo Ortiz de Zarate of Vizcaya, Spain, the world-renowned Ortiz seafood company is today still operated by the family's fifth generation of food artisans. Conservas Ortiz takes painstaking care over the origin and freshness of every fish prepared.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: do they have skin and bones?**
A: Yes. These are large sardines with nearly transparent skin and soft bones which are very nutritious but can be removed if desired. Ortiz is the best!

**Q: Are the cans bpa free?**
A: I checked the can and there is no mention of BPA. I checked Google and I read that if it isn't listed as BPA free then it isn't. Also, the one brand that is BPA-free is Wild Planet Wild Sardines.

**Q: Are these sardines pack in alluminum cans?**
A: Yes, all the Ortiz sardines I have purchased have been in aluminum cans.
