This USB hub does its purpose. However the product could have been much more compact for the overall size and the cord length. In limited desk space, cord occupies lot of space. For the number of USB hubs, it could have been a compact hub.The connector is both USB and C Port. An improvement could have been an OTG adaptor instead of USB male with C port female. The OTG adaptor as connector can also connect to any mobile device and not just laptop.Overall, this is a basic and minimalistic product. Purpose is served but more thought could have resulted in much better product design.

Works great! So far I have the mouse plugged into it but i did have 4 things plugged in and it all worked great because of how the outlets are positioned. This will work great when I have pics or music to download onto my computer because it has 4 USB slots. My Mac only has two and they are side by side so I can only plug in one at a time because they aren’t far enough apart to plug another one in unless the USB end of the plugs are both narrow. Example Like a flash drive cannot be plugged in while my mouse is plugged in, so I’m happy that I now can have more than one thing at a time.

Update: 9/9/2017 - Five Stars! Customer service contacted me and offered to send another hub. I, of course, said yes. Received the new one today, and I thoroughly tested it... All of the ports work, the switches work, the lights work, and video transfer speeds to and from each port (comparing this Wavlink 3.0 hub to a similar one from Sabrent) - The speeds were definitely 3.0 speeds, very fast transfers each way. The Wavlink and Sabrent hubs are very similar, except for one thing... The Wavlink has better port orientation - stacked like dresser drawers instead of side by side in a straight line - I have a couple of thumb drives that are wide and usually crowd the adjacent ports - but not so with the Wavlink -- easy fit. I also have a Western Digital "My Passport" external drive that I run from the Wavlink, and it runs nicely. Cherry from customer service was accommodating from the very start and made me feel like a valued customer. Thanks Cherry.Original 2 star review:I was bummed when I received this because one of the four ports didn't work (3rd one down). The switch lights up, but no power or functionality for the associated port. Very satisfied with the functionality and transfer speeds of the others though. Nice to have switches (that light up!) for each port. And the orientation of the ports is nice too, so that wide USB sticks can fit without crowding out adjacent plugs.So, why not just return it? It's not worth the trouble for this price. I understand that a certain percentage of any product will fail. I wanted to five-star this thing, but it's just such a disappointment.
