This microphone is pretty sweet. It works as intended and amplifies the sound of my instruments just fine. I've tried it on my guitar, banjo, and violin and they all sounded great through my amp (I use a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV, if you were wondering). The adhesive strip that comes with it is useful for mounting it to different parts of the instrument. It's also really easy to move around once I decide where I want to position it permanently (I used a piece of duct tape on my banjo just in case the adhesive didn't hold - better safe than sorry!). The cable is long enough to reach most amplifiers without any issues, and the sound quality is pretty good. It does a decent job of eliminating external sounds too, which is nice when recording or playing live. I actually used this microphone on a project where I created a rain drum type thing by attaching it to a plastic sheet with some beads rolling around (it was for an art installation). Worked surprisingly well! The only downside is that the cable could be a little more rugged, but it's not too bad. Overall, this is a solid choice if you're looking for a contact microphone pickup.
