Select IncrementsJLJT Soundbar Pods Without Speakers, 28-JLJT-E

This was a quick and easy way to upgrade the soundbar speakers. No cutting or pulling the soundbar out of the Jeep. I used Recoil components and pulled the rubber cover off of the magnet so it would fit better. I used half inch foam tape around the base and the speaker mounting hole. Used more foam tape around the connectors to keep them from rattling. I did have a buzzing sound from one of the speakers like another reviewer mentioned. I realized it was because when the magnet goes in the hole of the old 4 inch speaker the plastic was hitting the wire connection point of the speaker, which caused it to bend in and the silver tinsel wires were laying against the woofer cone. Once I bent it back and just moved the wire terminals out of the way, it was fixed. Unlike what another reviewer said, I got a major increase in bass. I was originally going to put 6x9s but ran into time restraints and I knew this would be a quick install. I can't imagine 6x9's sounding much better than this. Highly recommend.

Perfect fit for JBL component set 6.5’s, be careful on choice of 6.5 mid since there isn’t much room for a large magnet in the pods , the tweeter isn’t pre holed so anything will fit , my component set came with a 1” tweet. Very easy install as the kit came with everything u need to complete , keep in mind u will need to do some wiring if using a component set, if using a full range 6.5 it’s plug and play. I stuffed some fiber fill up in the sound bar and used sound deadening tape all around the inside of the pod as well for a tight seal. Sound is night and day compared to stock. I have added a punch powered sub and changed the speakers all around the jeep and am now very happy with overall sound 🤘

The finish is close to my 2022 JLU sound bar fitment is good . One problem I will hold the manufacturer responsible for and ask that they do better. They supplied longer screws because the original screws are not long enough. That’s nice, but they give you screws that the heads are so small so they supplied a washer to use so it doesn’t pull through the pod. This is extremely tacky and unsightly who wants to see a washer on a new install that I just paid $140 for. Why they can’t supply a screw with a larger head like the original equipment so you don’t have to use a washer is beyond me. Also the wire harness was too small to actually connect to the speaker terminals Easy step by step instructions paired mine with the JBL GTO629 with minimal modifications

Direct replacement and great upgrade for my Jeep JLU soundbar paired with Kicker KM Marine 6.5” speaker. Had to cut original sound bar due to the marine speakers being a bit larger than typical 6.5” speakers so the magnet would not go into the existing speaker hole. But mount was super easy to install.

The pods were too thick for the factory bolts, necessitating getting longer bolts of a thread style that was very hard to find. The have a textured appearance but looked a lot different to my roll bar. Maybe I got a bad one, but not impressed..

These fit great in the jeep gladiator and come with slinger screws that replace the OEM ones. However, 6.5 speaker choice was limited. ALOT of the JBL 6.5 will not fit, and the Scar 6.5 barely fit. I would stick with the kicker that you can get with them. It’s not the adapters felt exactly. Just not a lot of space. I had to sand the holes a bit bigger to fit the Scar 6.5 but the JBL 6.5 was a no go.

The holes did not line up completely and even with the phone provided they rattled. I returned

Sounds great with the CT Sound 6.5 bio running off the stock head unit !
