Not a good idea
These brackets have to be the worst idea. Hard to get on corners where casing is close to wall. They marked up my new window casings, had to repair and touch up paint. I ended up installing the old curtain brackets, look better and sturdy. I also did not like the silver bracket showing on corner, as curtains would not cover.

Only need a hammer
The brackets fit as described. Just a few taps with a hammer to get the points behind the trim. Worked so much easier & cleaner than drilling holes in newly patched & painted walls. Curtain rods clicked into place & curtains were up in no time.NOTE: the brackets did "bite" into the trim face a little -- the trim is a little thicker than some. But, brackets cover the marks.Am happy to have discovered these "gadgets" -- I'll buy more in the future, if needed.

DOES NOT WORK
I was unable to install these hangers as they would not fit behind the molding. I tried a hammer and the hanger partially went behind the molding. I thought I would try it anyway with the rod and curtains and the first time I opened the curtains, the whole thing fell to the floor. They are not substantial at all . I recommend use of the hangers that simply screws into the wall or molding---much stronger and last WAY longer. I threw away it was simply too much hassle to return.

Just OK
We got new window frames and didn't want to put holes in them to put up curtains in our kitchen, so we decided to try these. They are just OK. On our windows, they don't hold the rod securely. We are using them, but I probably would not buy them again. Good idea, just needs someone to make it work better.
