Great quality long reach pliers that will stand the test of time. While a little on the expensive side, you definitely get what you pay for. These have no observable play in the heads and grip just as hard as you can squeeze. From the factory, the serrations are perfect to grab on to things. Overall, the build is really just top quality once you feel them in your hands. Proper set of tools that I hope to hand down to my kids. Pros: - No play in head - Very little flex in handles when really gripping something - Handles deal with oils and grease just fine (and clean easily too!) - Long reach for those really horrible hose clamps Cons: - None

These and some other pliers were my first foray into Knipex. They are extremely nice and very solid. I do think these needle nose stand out slightly less than some of the others like adjustable pliers, and that many people would do just as well with a good pair of Taiwanese pliers. However if you don’t have any risk of people asking to borrow your stuff and don’t have a better use for your money I’d say get them. I don’t know if maybe Klein makes good needle nose; I know Channellocks are loose junk compared to these. They will pick up coins in you want to make TikTok videos. I expect these pliers will outlast me.

I am not one of those tool snobs that only shops on the SnapOn truck... but Knipex pliers are one of the few tools I'm willing to spend the extra money on. They are just superior and worth it. This is a review written by a lifelong Harbor Freight customer.

These certainly are the best long-reach pliers I've ever owned. They've already withstood the kind of flagrant misuse and abuse that would have easily bent or deformed other pliers. Not to mention they're skinnier and lower-profile than just about anything else around. My only real gripe is that, for long-reach pliers, they're really not all that long. And Knipex doesnt even MAKE longer needle-nose pliers. What the heck? You'll have to pay visit to any of your favorite asian toolmakers if you'd like the luxury of a couple extra inches. I wonder if this is simply because the leverage present in the longer-handled version makes them inherently weaker, and Knipex isn't willing to build a tool that could potentially break. Whatever the reason, it's disappointing, because most of the time when you need a long-handled plier, you need the REALLY long one to reach deep into an engine bay or something, not just a half-measure which these basically are. Still excellent tools.

It's been a while using them. I'm Automotive tech by trade almost use it everyday. I absolutely love it.

As a mechanic, i need sometimes some extra stiffness for side action. Like bending cotter pins for example. I came in situations I’ve had to get my old cheap extra long mastercraft in the trunk of my car to avoid that side bending. Otherwise they are very good quality slim needle nose and very tough. Very handy indeed. Almost all my pliers drawer is knipex, needle nose pliers and electrical skinner/crimper just go with snap on but all the rest, Knipex is killing it.

Buy once cry once...... get Knipex and your biggest problem after that is preventing them getting pinched...!!
