The leather is rock hard and brittle to the touch. The straps actually crack slightly when securing the firearm. The spare magazine holder strap is no better, except that it is a good inch from being able to be snapped closed over the magazine. ### ⭐⭐ Mag Holder Too Short *by C***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2020* Fit my Sturm Ruger Mark1 pistol just fine, as does my current holster, but I bought this for the mag holder which is not deep enough to hold the Mark 1 magazine. The mark 1 mag has a wider base than the newer Ruger Mark series, but it still would have been too short. Even jammed all the way down, the strap is about one snap diameter too short to secure. Returning. ### ⭐⭐⭐ I had to wet the leather and insert the gun (wrapped in a plastic bag) and this shrink it to better fit the gun *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2018* Fit was adequit to hold gun OK. I sprayed (wetted) the leather with silicone which helped a little.I was a little inderwhelmed. Would I recommend it to another? Only with expressed reservations.Of course, this Markill holster doesn't compare with a Milt Sparks or a Mitch Rosen holster, but neither did it cost $150 to $250+ either!. But, that said, if one doesn't mind wetting it so it will shrink around the gun and the spare magazine (wrapped in a plastic bag),and then treat the leather with silicon salve/leather treatment conditioner, the end product will turn out quite nice - better than some generic holsters, for sure!I may buy another for another Ruger (bull barrel Mk-II 22/45) simply b/c I've not found another holster made for the 22/45s and this one can be wetted and re-molded to fit for a reasonable price!
