BG Electrical NBS22G-01 nbs22g Double Metal Brushed Steel Switched Power Socket

Absolutely brilliant

Bought this to replace an old standard socket and I'm really pleased with it. The brushed steel colour and grey inserts look smart and modern, giving the room a much more premium finish. The fit was spot on, it's compatible with standard UK wiring and everything connected without any issues. Once installed, the switches and sockets function perfectly, with plugs fitting securely and good connectivity. It feels solid, durable and well made. A simple upgrade, but one that makes a surprisingly noticeable difference to the room.

This is one of those everyday electrical fittings that you don’t think much about until you install it, but the difference in finish and feel compared to cheaper options becomes obvious fairly quickly - feels high quality, and durable. The overall design looks clean and understated, with a profile that sits neatly against the wall without sticking out too far.Switches have a firm, positive click without feeling stiff, which gives a reassuring sense of quality during daily use. The sockets themselves hold plugs securely, with no looseness or wobble - works incredibly well. The faceplate finish gives it a more contemporary appearance compared to standard white plastic sockets, making it suitable if you’re updating a room or trying to keep fixtures consistent with a modern interior. Edges are smooth and well finished, so it doesn’t feel sharp or industrial.Installation is straightforward for anyone experienced with electrical fittings, and the internal layout allows enough space to work without feeling overly cramped. If I had to mention anything, it’s that metal faceplates can show fingerprints slightly more than matte plastic alternatives, so occasional cleaning keeps it looking fresh.Overall, a well-designed double socket that focuses on everyday usability and a cleaner visual finish rather than unnecessary extras.

Excellent quality. Very happy with this product.
