A bit pricy, but good quality and easy to read. The magnet is very strong too.

price was good and good reviews is why i purchased it and it gets you in the ball park for a wood stove sort of, i used two different laser thermometers on my stove right near where this is and and they both read around 450-480 while this magnetic thermometer was reading like 320-330ish, im gonna buy a different brand and hope its more accurate, 100 degrees off is to much of a difference for me.

I already reviewed this with pictures after I got it. This thermometer work great! According to my digital heat scanner, it's accurate within 1-2 degrees F. The magnet is strong and it doesn't budge. The paint and decals are staying put and haven't chipped or peeled. It works very well. I appreciate the larger display, which makes reading the temperature from a distance a lot easier.

We have this stuck onto our fireplace, it looks great. The quality is very good and it’s easy to read. It’s so incredibly easy to use, you really just need to stick it onto your fireplace. The magnet is really strong. It’s 100% worth the money.

I used this thermometer on the surface of our wood stove. Same principle, only the temp range is supposed to be higher than the pipe. This thing did work and seemed to be pretty accurate. After a few days, though, I noticed that the indicator was stuck up in the green area after the stove had cooled. It seems that the indicator was rubbing against the frame, and the friction from the paint and/or notches was causing it to stick. A quick tap on it would reset it, but then I was determined to fix it. After bending it and sanding and filing (all admittedly my fault after this point) I still couldn't get it to not stick. Now it reads 100f at room temp, which obviously isn't right. It may give an accurate reading still, but it seems more like the analogy that a broken clock is correct twice a day. With the way this thing sticks and shows an incorrect room temp, it's not the most trustworthy.

I had one of these for 2 years before the paint degraded and I needed a replacement. It was solidly accurate, agreeing with my IR thermometer and instant read contact thermometer. I ordered 2 replacements and they are also in close agreement to the original (easily within 50F). Overall I'm happy with this product. Note the "Best operation" indication is dependent on how you use it (stove top vs single wall vs double wall stove pipe) so take it with a grain of salt. For example, my stovetop is supposed to run between 450-650F which is mostly in the "too hot" range. Overall I do recommend as several other brands I have bought were highly inaccurate. While these have all been solid.

It works great and with magnet it stays put. There easy to read to keep the fire in the zone.

Easy to place anywhere on the firebox. It helps a lot to monitor the temp because my firebox can really put our some heat. I recommend this product
