Review: Just a hair bigger than it seems, but works just fine. - Just slightly bigger than I expected it to be, but it gets the job done for a good practice piece.
Review: Corners were very sharp, but otherwise amazing buy! - Firstly, I need to say that this training knife was SHARP out of the box. The "edge" was flat and safe, but the corners of that flat edge were 90° degree sharp corners and I was literally able to cut paper with the corners. I had to file down the corners all the way around the entire knife in order to make it relatively safe for training purposes. It is also important to know that the little wave nub at the top of the knife is still absolutely a dangerous weapon if you spin the karambit and hit somebody with it. Use common sense, please. That being said, the only other issue I had was that the belt clip was installed on the left hand side, and unfortunately I don't own extremely tiny Torx wrenches, so it's just gonna have to be in my left pocket for training. Other than those two things, this trainer is very, very nice and CERTAINLY worth the buy. My instructor uses the $100+ name brand trainer and it's functionally identical to this one. It's also extremely comfortable in the hand, and the ring is the appropriate size. I gave 4 stars for sturdiness just because there is a slight back-and-forth rattle (none side to side) with the blade. I honestly spend so much time using this that I don't remember if it came that way or not, but I abuse the heck out of this thing and the very slight wiggling is the only damage to it. If you're looking for a karambit folding trainer, definitely buy this one. Just be sure to check the edges and file them down before using this!

**Q: Is this training knife modeled after the fox karambit 479 or 599?**
A: 479

**Q: Can you switch the pocket clip over to the other side (only for one who has done it)?**
A: As mentioned in the video the clip can be reversed. Larger and heavier than the Fox599. Probably scaled for the Fox499 but still adequate for muscle memory training for either model or as an impact weapon on its own.

**Q: Does anyone know the screw type/size for the belt clip? As everyone else has posted, the screws are easily stripped. But this could be easily remedied**
A: It's a star drive screw. I had to buy a tool with multiple bits. Oddly, the knife comes lefty (only 10% of the population). I noted all this in my review.

**Q: last question is it decently built if not mistreated? thanks!**
A: its durable if thats what youre asking. i hit wood and metal with full force like i would in a real fight if i were to use it. and i use it as part of my EDC if i dont want to use my pocket knife.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ best trainer around

When your training knife is better than your carry knife this is that moment. I recommend safety first and a high performance, long lasting, effective training aids as this Karambit trainer is. The ring: excellent and comfortable no knuckle cuts. The handle: solid and hasn't come loose from hitting wood planks and tires. The blade edge: Non-existent, with rounded tip, but still actually capable of doing damage to human skin if intended, so be careful where you strike when having a sparring partner. Thi is the best karambit trainer around.
