These brushes are larger than I expected but that's a good thing. The shape is easy to hold, fits well in my palm and makes it easy to follow the brushing technique. We've only used this for a few weeks but the brushes seem to be well made and will hold up to frequent use. It's very handy to have two brushes to leave at opposite ends of the house since brushing needs to be done every two hours in the beginning. As far as the brushing technique itself, my sensory-sensitive son loves it. If I forget, he will remind me to brush him! This is a 10 year old boy - not a toddler. We're late in the game to finally get a diagnosis of sensory integration disorder for his anxiety issues (after being prescribed Zoloft 2 years ago to "fix" him). Time will tell if this technique helps with those issues but we're just getting started.
