Works out of the box, easy to use
We just got this. It seems to be a new product, so I thought I'd include a review to help others. It appears to work fine on both me and my husband. Do read the instructions: you are supposed to point the device to the forehead, between the eyebrows, and just a little above the level of the eyebrows. Not elsewhere. Also, the device needs to be within 3 centimeters of the skin. Following these instructions, we got what appear to be valid readings. (I run 1 degree Fahrenheit cooler than my husband with every thermometer.)I gave it a 4 because it says "this is a sensitive calibrated device," so "store it in the original packaging," because apparently if you get dust and dirt in it, it won't work well. The packaging is not ideal for long-term storage.

easy to use but does not seem to be accurate
This thermometer arrived earlier than expected. It was very easy to use. When tested against an digital oral thermometer and an ear infrared thermometer, it appears to be INACCURATE. I initially thought it was accurate, so I’m not sure if this thermometer has since quit working properly in the less than two months since I purchased it. It is currently running greater than two degrees Fahrenheit under what the other thermometers display.

Defective - don't waste your money.
The readings aren't accurate. They will read 97° then 100° and back to 98°. This thermometer is defective.

It’s okay.
I’ve never gotten a reading of 98.6 on anyone in my family. I assume that’s because the outside temperature of a forehead is naturally a degree or two cooler than interior temperature, but shouldn’t it say so in the instructions? Or be able to compensate electronically? Seems really expensive for not ever being capable of telling me what my actual body temperature is. ☹️

Easy to use
It vibrates when it is ready and has a read out facing away from the patient/child with a gentle light that can be read in a patient room or nursery instead of beeping and risking a wake up . Super easy to use and easy to change batteries
