Small pockets but great quality

I like the material. There are 8 riveted holes to secure this, so I just used nails. Seems to hold up well with the recent rain storms we've had. 12 pockets for plants. I was originally going to use this for herbs, but I rescued 10 sad primroses for my trial. They are adapting and recovering, being half dead when first placed. They all have new growth. So, it was a little challenging to get the extra soil in there with the flowers. Trying to tuck some in on top and around them was a little frustrating. By the last couple I pretty much had it down. I think I'll order a few more to place along that rickety old fence. It begins color splashes and flowers up to nose level and more eye catching. Definitely more are wanted and needed. There are different size styles but I think for me this is perfect.

I gave this four stars because it is good quality and just as described. However, all of my plants died in two days! I grew about four dozen herbs from seeds in peat pots under grow lights in my basement. I hung the bag in my fence in direct sunlight and put the pots in the pouches. I watered them and It looked beautiful. However, the water dried out immediately. When I looked again two days later, all of my plants were completely dried out, brown, and dead. I had no idea they would die so fast. So it didn’t work out for me. If you put this in the sun, you have to water it at least once a day, maybe more.

Perfect for what I wanted / needed. I did have to take off some pockets with a seem ripper for it to work with my measurements. The frame came from goodwill 😉.

UPDATE*** This was a total waste, the little starter plants died, due to water going straight thru. The seeded pouches did not grow at all, the soil could not stay most long enough to sprout, and I watered 2 times a day, then increased to 3 times, still could not keep moist enough for the sprouting of what seeds that didn't wash out. DO NOT BUY! ***** The pockets are very small, they fold out when filled and cause water run off and seeds to come out. The felt is warps and sags in in center. As long as you plan on transplanting immediately upon sprouting, if not your plants become too big. Bought a larger one a couple years ago, but just my luck can't find it, reason I bought this one.

We have had little success in growing plants in this hanger. I think the issue is water. Since each pocket does not hold much soil, it constantly needs watering. If you over water, they drop all over the place. We are still going to try different plants and see what happens.

No complaints at all. Seems like it will last. Have had it up for a few months now. Holds up well to the sun so far.

As a wall planter, not great. The pockets are small, so the soil dries out fast. Even with temps in the 60s, and soaking the whole thing, the soil dries it before the day is done. You need to water multiple times a day. You can’t use it as an indoor wall planter since the fabric drains the water well and you’ll soak your floors. I suppose it would work well for succulents and other plants that like dry soil. I’ve been trying to think how to repurpose these, and I’m thinking maybe for kids toys, like beanie babies or other stuffed animals, or maybe small tools and such. Neither of which work for me (I have no kids, and don’t have enough tools to justify using it as tool storage. All my tools fit in my tool box. As it’s advertised, not worth the money, imo.

Didn't work for us. Soil drys very quickly and not enough space for plants to grow.
