Excellent quality and excellent value!
This is a good product. The charcoal is chopped quite small, but not too finely, and works well in all sizes of planters/pots. For the price advertised, I felt this was a very good value and would certainly purchase it again. Horticultural charcoal is essential to keep your indoor plants happy; the charcoal absorbs excess moisture and helps to prevent root rot. I am very happy with this purchase, and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Great addition to soil for house plants
This is my go to charcoal for adding to soil for house plants. I’ve purchased it several times and really like the granule size, as it mixes well into my potting soil. There is no odor, although it can be a bit messy as the charcoal will stain in your hands if you’re not wearing gloves. Much like my cooking, I don’t really measure anything. I add a couple of tablespoons of charcoal to a small bucket of soil, and that seems to do the trick. The charcoal incorporates well into the soil. Adding charcoal to soil helps oxygen to be redistributed to the soil, allowing for plant roots to thrive - it can also help potted plants by improving their drainage.

Great Value!
I grow orchids and tropicals and make my own potting mixes. Charcoal is often a key ingredient. This seller offers a large quantity for a reasonable price. It stores well and does not go bad. This is quality charcoal with minimal dust. Great value.

More like Char
I wasn't paying enough attention to the description, so its on me that it wasn't useful for my purposes. My error not the seller or manufacturer. I would definitely call this. Charcoal as the chips are too small to be considered horticultural charcoal.

Perfect for bioactive terrariums!
I bought this to use as part of a substrate mixture for my terrarium. This terrarium is set up for my Cope's Gray Tree Frogs. I am adding isopods and springtails to the substrate. This addition makes the perfect mix! Nice decent size chunks! Great price!
