It will outlast the fabric that it is sewn into; including the newest solution dyed acrylics, and comes with a full warranty to that effect. It is unaffected by canvas cleaning solutions and will not stain, mildew or rot. Dirt just wipes off. DISCLAIMER: Returns on Tenara thread are acceptable if the original seal from factory hasn't been removed and the original plastic is still vacuum sealed.

Expensive But Worth It
I've completed two projects (hot tub cover and mainsail cover) using this thread and Sunbrella fabric. It worked flawlessly on the commercial grade machine (Consew) and I couldn't get it to work on the heavy duty home model (Sailrite). I tried changing needle sizes, tension and speed, nothing seemed to work so I used the big machine. I really like the clear thread - doesn't blend in as much as the exact color match but it's close for everything else and means I don't have to stock a lot of different colors. Time will tell if the thread is as durable as advertised but I'm betting that it is. I use a hot knife to cut the fabric and it won't cut the Tenara thread unless I hold it there long enough to burn the fabric

Expensive but great thread for high UV conditions. Sews very well. No flaking. Easy to work with.
