CRASH TESTED at 70 MPH. (Updated Review)
(Updated Review 3 Stars): I was involved in a crash, doing about 70-75 mph on the highway. A car hit my friend's bike knocking him off and sent his bike spinning into my lane, clipping me and sending me down. My left elbow was first to impact the asphalt. The armor did a good job of protecting my elbow from the impact, until the stitching around where the armor was inserted ripped from me sliding. This caused the armor to fly out. Needless to say, I got road rash on my left elbow. I think the design would be more effective if the stitching had been on the inside of the jacket, so that the seams wouldn't come in contact with the ground, causing the armor to fly out. That being said, at that speed it protected me very well.(Original Review 4 Stars): Solid entry level jacket. Fits snug, and adjust around the waist and forearm. Also like that it comes with snaps that loop around your belt, to prevent the jacket from rising up in a skid. Removable lining, but it's still hot AF, even with the zip vents open on the arms, chest and back. I'm happy with it.

It actually works in an accident.
I had an accident on my bike, while wearing a full helmet and this jacket and blue jeans and gloves and boots.Everyplace that was covered by the jacket, helmet or boots was untouched and perfect, aside from being a little achy. The parts that were covered by the bluejeans were all torn up and took months to heal along with physical therapy. Now I own the pants too. It's great stuff, especially considering that it's reasonably priced.

Great Jacket, good price
First off, I love this jacket. I had an older Joe Rocket that has lasted forever but it was time for a new one. I'm 6'3" 220lbs and I first got the XL which was tight in the torso and too short on the arms. I sent it back and got the XXL which fits great. I'm normally an XL guy so keep that in mind when ordering. This jacket has very formidable padding in the shoulders, elbows, and back. The textile is thick and feels very stiff which I like because it feels safe.I rode to work today and the temp was 39 degrees F and I didn't feel cold at all. The jacket breaks the wind and the liner does a good job of keeping me warm. I've used this jacket up to 80 degrees without the liner and it felt too hot if I got below highway speeds for long. The zippered sleeves by the wrist are nice because it keeps the jacket tight around your wrist when riding but it's easy to unzip to remove the jacket.I'm worried about the zippers because they sometimes feel flimsy but I haven't had any issues yet. I ride daily as a commute so I'll get a lot of wear out of this jacket and I expect to get at least 4 years out of it.

Awesome Jacket for the Hi-Vis over the hill sportbike rider
I love this jacket. As an american I am cut slightly different than some europeans, and Joe Rocket prides themselves at making things for the american market. Not trying to make this sound anti world market, just that a lot of americans are slightly larger, and built different physically than other people in the world. (sometimes) Myself as a slightly larger american find my XL jacket fits great. The vents allow lots of air to flow through the coat. If I hunch my shoulders slightly forward I can feel lots of air flowing up the sleeves and around to the back from the front. This is really important in Texas. I have been riding most of the late summer, when the temps average high 90's. and the feels like temps are low 100's. A lot of younger riders wear their helmets, and t-shirts, but have no worries or have never experienced any road rash. I on the other hand have experienced my fair share of road rash and prefer to avoid any more at all cost now that I am approaching the half century mark. What seemed to hurt in my younger years now hurts much more. and the same is true of healing time.

Good Jacket For Casual Riding Not WFO, Your Mileage May Vary.
I have a build right on the border between XL and XXL so It's hard for me to order clothes online since sizing varies so much. I'm glad I went with the XXL, I't fits well with and without the liner.US129 The Tail Of The Dragon is my playground, but I don't go WFO across it (A. I ride a sport touring 6th gen VFR800, B. 5 years ago someone told me guys my age don't ride sport bikes) I run 5-10 (30 MPH limit and saturated with cops) over at the most. If you don't know what the Dragon is look it up, it is a helluva ride, 318 curves, 11.1 miles and no intersecting roads or driveways, it is mountain-road-mountain. Regardless, I stay comfortable during multiple runs back and forth across. I don't tuck in, just sit up and have yet to experience any binding or discomfort. For me it gets a bit warm if I get caught in traffic but not pass out hot, and cools quickly when I start moving again. The shoulder armor saved me from a big freaking rock kicked up by a truck on I-75. I saw it, leaned and gunned it and it hit and felt like a beetle on unprotected skin.Would I buy another one?....... Yup.

Great but not waterproof as advertised.
I love the fit, finish on this jacket. It has easy to use zippers, pockets in the right places. Very comfortable to ride in, that is the reason for 5 stars. I just rode over 3,000 miles to and from the Sturgis rally, went up over 10,000 feet altitude and I was comfortable. On the really cold mornings (one was at 32 degrees according to a roadside sign) I wore a sweat shirt under it, still comfortable. COMPLAINT, THIS JACKET IS NOT WATERPROOF AS ADVERTISED. We rode about 6 hours in light/medium rain. By the end of the ride/rainfall the inside was damp in places, arms and shoulders mostly, my shirt underneath was wet in the shoulders. The rain was heavy enough to penetrate the zippers on my T-bag and get a few clothing items damp. I really like the jacket but take your rain gear!

Great jacekt, wind proof, but needs more pockets, tight fit.
Jacket fit a bit small. I'm 192cm and 112kg, and the XL was just barely big enough. Tight sizing prevents layering up and I got a bit cold after an hour or so of highway riding in 10-12C weather. But still quite comfortable to ride in. I don't know about the Chinese crash armor, better than nothing I guess. Only has one slash/napoleon pocket making stuffing phone, wallet a tight fit. I'm made of sugar and will melt in the rain, so I have no idea on the water proofing.

Great value!!
I am a 6'6" and 330 lb man, and was very happy that the 5XL fit perfectly. I would normally wear a 4XL so I recommend ordering one size bigger. Its very comfortable and seems like it will be good protection. The inner liner zips out easily for warmer days, and seems to have enough vents to keep you cool on hot summer rides. Overall it's a great jacket for a great price.

Super chamarra
