Very nice massager! It really provides a deep massage which I was looking for. The heating feature is great. However I'm not a huge fan of the vibrating seat it's not very relaxing. Also I was really bummed the neck massager is too high for my height it's designed to fit a 6' tall person only. I have to really stretch and pull it down into position for it not to hurt the base of my skull...they should really make that height adjustable.Otherwise lots of nice features for the back shiatsu and customizable rolling massage. I would recommend but be warned if your not tall.

My entire family adores it. It is fantastic! I did take me a minute to figure out to adjust the height you literally just pull it up until it meets your neck. It went up high enough to accommodate my 6'4" son. I do use it in my recliner and it worked fine. The heat is not intense but more for relaxing the muscles. The neck massage feels like someone is actually massaging your neck with their hands. It kneads the shoulders real deep, so if you're tight, prepare the ibuprofen for your first couple of uses. After that, once you're loosened up, its doesn't feel as intense. My third use, I was fine with the intensity. I also move by body around to massage other parts (sciatica, legs, feet, calves in the necks massager, etc.) Just don't put too much weight on it if you are laying it flat.

First off, for any reviews who claim this item hurts too much, then they have never received a real shiatsu massage. This item is amazing and targets all those awesome areas on your back that tense up, behind the shoulder blades, and most importantly for me, my neck. If the massage is too intense, you can lay a couple blankets over it to relieve some of the pressure, or if you're control freak like me, you adjust your body back and forth. I do that anyway in order to hit certain spots I know that need it. If you're not a control freak, just sit back and take it! The heat is nice though it takes several times of use before you start to really feel it. The timer times out in about 15 minutes I believe... don't quote me. I kept turning it back on because I'm a masochist and I wanted more. It hurt so good. We put this on our reclining sofa, however, I am also tempted to put this on our inversion table... inversion plus massage may be an awesome combo. I'll update as soon as I try it out. The day after a massage of about 5 rounds of shiatsu and heat, I'm definitely feeling like I'm aching in a good way. I wish they had massaging balls on the seat cushion and not vibrating. It would be really nice to work on my piriformis. I guess my butt will just have to suffice with the vibrating of my jiggly self.Oh, on the technical side it has two types of massage: Rolling and Shiatsu. You can NOT adjust the intensity as the balls are fairly large and hard. However you can dampen the intensity by skooching your butt forward or soften with a blanket or towel or several depending on how big of a wuss you are. You can also adjust the height of the massaging balls (on your back) as well as the width to pinpoint the exact location of massage. Or you can let it do it's thing and let it roll up and down your spine. I have to sit up quite straight with neck outreached as I'm a short 5'2" to get the neck portion to work for me. My partner is 5'10" and it aligns with his body perfectly. If I had another couple inches I think my neck would hit it just right as well.

I've had the shiatsu massage seat for a while now and it's great! Obviously no chair can substitute a real massage but it's very old for its size. As it got the rolling balls instead of pressure cushions you can experience some soreness if you use it for more than an hour but that's normal with all massages! Also very easy and nice to store away if you don't want it out all the time!

Made for a tall person. I am 5' 4.5, and it was too long for my body. The only way to get a neck massage is to lay on it, however it is too hard and painful to lay on. The seat massage is just vibration. Shiatsu is only in the neck and back. I did return it, however, with no issues so I gave it an extra star, for that.

This was recommended by my mom. I was hesitant due to paying nearly $200 but this product is life changing. This is my favorite product I have ever purchased so I am going to try to give a thorough review. (I sit in a chair most of the day due to my job)With this massager you can lean into it and get a really deep tissue massage, the motors are very strong. When I want a lighter massage I just position it so I am putting less of my weight against it and its great. The massage balls roll up and down my back and the best part is that you can hit the spot button which causes the balls to keep massaging the same spot if you have a more tender area (my middle back bothers me and I've never found anything that helps like this).I turn the neck and back massage function on at the same time with the vibrating seat. The heat function seems to help relax my muscles a lot faster than when I have it turned off. After my now daily 20 minute massage, my neck and back have no pain.I have used this on my couch, in my recliner, and in my car so far and it has worked everywhere so far. The durability of this product seems great. I have put all my weight on the massage balls and they keep chugging along. I haven't had this massager very long but I cannot imagine not having it now. If you have back or neck pain, I would highly recommend giving this massager a try. I will update this review if I change my mind.

I bought it as a gift and now I want to keep it for myself. You can adjust the height of the neck massager so I didn't find it uncomfortable or painful in any way. I am 5'7". There are lots of settings and the heat worked fairly quickly. It is firm in the back side so it can be placed in a low back chair and still be usable. It seems to be made of durable material and will stand the test of time. Highly recommend!
