loved these poems. I would recommend this book to anyone with little kids in their family. and the artwork is realy great!

I ordered this book from the library based on the title. What a fortuitous discovery! I used it as a mentor text with my 3rd grade students to discover how poets can use rhyme, rhythm, and metaphor/simile to create poetry. The imagery and similes are outstanding and speak to a young audience. My students are now begging to read aloud poems they have found in other books and to write their own poems to the moon, worms, garden, and stars. This was a perfect entry into the creative, gorgeous, funny, rhythmic world of poetry!

These poems are adorable, fun, and well written. I used this book as part of a lesson for my second graders and they loved it!!!

Excellent for use with Daily Café.

I love the idea of introducing children to poetry and this is a great little book for that. The poems are short and most are very silly. The illustrations help bring them to life. We have really enjoyed reading these.
