Now I'm glad it broke, because the new one, even thought it looks identical, seems so much better. It seems to lock on to the frequency faster and follow the adjustment process quicker. I play 5 string bass and the old one wouldn't reliably pick up the low B, this one locks on immediately. I can't understand the negative commentary. I have a lot of experience with setup and this little thing has made my life a lot easier. It's helped immeasurably reconciling 12th fret to the open string, bridge, pickup & string height, & truss rod adjustments. Problems usually arise after replacing a full set of strings. It helps if you can get everything back in the ball park by 5th fret tuning by ear. Once accomplished, it's pretty easy from there.
