BRIOTECH Extra Strength HOCl Cleaner, 500 PPM Hypochlorous Acid, 32 fl oz

We own a small farm and have three dogs, so keeping things clean in the house is extra important to me. I was tired of remixing bleach solution for spraying our utility areas every day. I read about HOCl after discovering a skin-approved version for acne.So far so good. Obviously I can’t tell if it does the same job as bleach, but it definitely more convenient. I also like that it is safe around pet and food areas. It has a very light bleach smell when wet but dries to nothing -no smell or residue. So far I am happy with my purchase and will probably purchase this again.

I was uncertain about purchasing after I had seen a few reviewers commenting that it caused color fastness. That had me worried that the ph would be off. I am fairly chemistry fluent, and know a good deal about chlorine production etc, so I kind of knew what I was looking for in terms of quality. Upon receiving the package I was pleased to see how well it was packed. I was also glad that I ordered in the winter months, as heat negatively impacts the concentration of HOCl in solution, and there is never any telling how fedex & partners will handle your packages en route. When I opened the bottle, I immediately smelled the active chlorine smell. It was not that public pool smell, think more like the old clorox brand “anywhere spray” smell. Very light, although you do notice a change in the strength of that over time. I used test strips and titration to Check the ph and the free chlorine level of the concentrated batch, and it checked out as advertised. I use this stuff on everything, and in everything. The main purpose is for my skin believe it or not. I happen to have mast cell activation syndrome, so undetermined environmental contaminants cause my exposed skin to get very red, very hot, and very uncomfortable. Using a dilute solution of hocl & distilled water on these reactions is nearly immediately soothing. If you look into it, this is the same chemical compound that our white blood cells create to help wounds heal, and it’s been proven to have anti-inflammatory effects as a kind of bonus. As if that weren’t enough to sell you, because it is not so reactive to many common bacteria, it doesn’t begin to deteriorate immediately. For this reason, there is a bit of a prophylactic effect that has been shown in studies as well. The way that the compound enters cell membranes makes it effective at denaturing proteins too. From what I have gleaned this would mean that it would in essence denature allergic proteins in particulate such as dust mite debris, and pet dander for instance. I have had a lot of success using this product on my skin, to clean wounds on my kids, dog and cat ears, and around the home to sanitize plus deodorize too. Using it in a ulv fogger, cool mist/ultrasonic humidifier, and even a continuous mist sprayer supposedly enhances the chemical’s antimicrobial properties. It also remains airborne longer, allowing more contact time with airborne contaminants. I don’t know if you have ever read about how long dust mites can remain suspended in indoor air with just natural air flow through the typical home…it’s disgusting. I promise that you will notice a pretty immediate difference in the air quality indoors. It isn’t been proved to sanitize or disinfect porous materials, however judging from its permeability, and mode of action on other surfaces, I feel confident using it on our plush surfaces, and rugs. It is fantastic for cleaning car interiors too. There is really nothing that it doesn’t do, and do well. Before I learned about hypochlorous acid, I would use hydrogen peroxide or peracids for many of these purposes sans topical/oral application, and was never really satisfied with the consistency of the effects beyond using it in laundry. I also wound up with chemical burns no matter how cautious I would be with pouring and mixing concentrated types. I am looking into generating my own, as this would be most cost effective for us, as we also have a pool & I would love to put it to use sanitizing my laundry without having to worry about it being too dilute. I wouldn’t want to carry on with that until I had all of the best components and mastery over the specifics. Until then I plan to stick with Brio surface/air, and easily recommend anyone interested do the same.

On my 5th gallon. I sprayed this directly onto and into my eyes for about 2 months and the itchy eyes is gone. Whether it was allergies or bacteria idk, but it's gone finally. Years of ripping my lashes out to stop the itching. No more! I spray the entire house with this. The coach smell still triggers my brain to thinking it will discolor, but it's a safe as water. Literally. The dog eating area and leashes have never been cleaner. I spray my bed in the morning. I spray my bug bites and the dogs hot spots and where she chews. Her bed. I even cleaned my closet mirror doors with this. I spray my toothbrush. The sink, the stove. The walls and the lights. I literally use nothing else to clean anymore. Even used it when the dog chugged too much water and puked some on my carpet. No smells afterwards! I am going to clean my truck with this on the weekend and see how well it takes care of the dogs filth in the back. I use both the 3 and the 5 ppm. Whatever is on sale, they work the same to me.I use this on everything. House cleaning, dog wounds, and my ever itchy eyes! It doesn't burn. But I'm no longer itchy eyes and for that I'm forever thankful.I buy gallons at a time and refill a continuous sprayer. I'm on my third gallon. I no longer use any other surface product to clean.Even cleans my toilets and DOG BOWLS of the biofilm!Excellent product.

I love this so much, started using it practically anywhere and everywhere. The bleachy scent lasts a few seconds then goes away, leaves everything with a clean neutral scent. Doesn’t leave any residue or spots like some other cleaners. I used it from the bathroom, kitchen sink, litter area and even spray it on my pillow in the morning and has helped with acne!

ADORE this stuff. found it off a suggestion on reddit. i am medically sensitive to odors, and i use it to clean everything. smells like the absence of smell, neutralizes everything. small apartment, all black fabrics (no fastness) with two maine coons with the litter box right near the door. you’d never be able to tell. i use it to refresh/clean my couch and bed, rugs and clothes, pet beds, counter tops, shower, litter box, toilet, sinks, and i even used it to get cat urine out of my black cloth seats in my jeep! that padding is THICK and natures miracle was NOT cutting it (plus the scent of natures miracle gives me the same reaction as piss. its just associated now) and would come right back once it gets hot again. but not now. genuinely so hyped about this stuff. i don’t have any skin conditions to test it on, but is it bad i’m lowkey waiting for the day to come?? whatever, im a lifetime fangirl for sure

Within the two days I’ve had this, I have noticed an insane improvement of deodorizing my cat’s litter box area. That’s the primary reason I bought it. I also have young kids so I’m happy with how safe it is for them and my kitten. Will buy again and again

Was skeptical that this product would work for my purpose but it did and I am happy with it. We had Palmetto bugs infest the condensation tray in the back of our refrigerator-so gross I know . We had a professional repair man clean the back out and remove the infestation but there was this lingering odor from the bugs - so gross and I can’t begin to describe how awful this smell was . I really thought we were going to have to just toss the fridge but I did a little research and decided to try this spray . We sprayed it on the area and even on the walls surrounding the fridge and now the smell is gone and I’m finally confident the area has been fully cleaned an sanitized.

A disinfectant that kills germs, has a very mild smell but is safe to use around my kids. I've used this cleaner in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and my kids stuffed animals. It has a faint chlorine smell but fades very quickly and neutralizes odors. Highly recommend!

It’s hypochlorous acid so, it’s great. The delivery was a nightmare. Amazon saying it was coming on a specific day but then nothing happens. Out of frustration I check to see what’s happening and Amazon says it was delivered successfully when it was actually nowhere near me🙃 I reached out to speak to someone but heard nothing back. Today I looked through Canada Post and it’s magically at the drop off location🤷🏻‍♀️ sucks being happy with the Brio acid but having no real recourse for the buffoonery on Amazons part
