I just purchased two of these and neither box had instructions. How long does it take to heat the plate and also how long does it keeps food warm?

The Chef Buddy heats up in a 1000-1100 watt microwave oven for at least three minutes. I can't eat very fast so I heat it for four minutes. Depending of the type of dish you use, it will keep food warm for 15-30 minutes. Corelle type dishes work best. Heavy bone china takes much longer to heat up. If I'm having pizza I will place the pizza directly on the stone. It keeps it hot and makes the crust crispier.

Would this work to put a plate with food on it for and elderly person to keep warm through the meal?
