Why is this so sticky?

I’ve used this product for about a year. I’ve noticed that it’s sticky as well, but learned how to best apply it. If you apply one coat, and then open your mouth, and fan your lips, it will completely dry within 15-20 seconds. Once completely dry, you can apply a second coat, and repeat the process.
