Review: Overall the WL5 is very good for controlling my RGB (colored) light strips). But a few things to note... I attached a few photos of the wiring I did since the instructions have very little detail about hooking them up. I chose to make pigtails out of some extra cables I had sitting around instead of hacking up the extension cables I have run to the LED strips, so everything stays plug-and-play. The wire colors in the extension cable (a different brand) have nothing to do with the pins on the LED light strip (which is yet another brand). e.g., red wire is NOT red color LED. I would have thought this was all standardized but apparently not... In any event, the photos I attached show how I figured it out for the LED light strip and cables I had. I had to sacrifice one cable by shaving off the rubber boot down to the wires so I could see what colors went to 1st, second, 3rd, and 4th pin on the connector. The confusion is not this vendors fault since apparently there is no standard on this in LED-land. The app works very well - you can control color, brightness, etc. There are also various lighting effects that brighten the lights and simulate things like sunset, etc. The app isn't perfect tho - renaming the WL5 (i.e., if you have more than one) is done by swiping left on it in the list of these in the app, as opposed to the menu that controls EVERYTHING else about it. I had to google that to figure it out. I could not get the remote (model FUT096) to pair with the WL5 but am going to change batteries in the remote and try again. The instructions for the remote are not very clear either, but that is a product review for another day...
Review: I had an existing setup but it was too old and wasn't supported with our new network equipement, so I changes my controller for this one. It was 2 times easier to setup and plug. I removed 1 star because your can't program schedules on it's own with their provided software, I had to program routines in the google home app.

**Q: Cannot connect. Red light is flashing, app says cannot connect. What now?**
A: On my old iPhones 8+ and 6, I couldn't connect. I moved on to other projects and a month or two later, I got an iPhone 12. Last week I tried connecting. The new iOS asked for permission to connect to networks and for other devices. Also had my network password ready to copy and paste. I've heard that you have about 20 seconds to input the password. The light turned green during the device search and I am up and running. Can't say this was an easy experience. The iPhone app is below average for the type of color control you may want.

**Q: The quick setup does not work, is there an advanced setup to connect to the device?**
A: Long press “SET” for 3 seconds; When red indicating lamp blink quickly, device is under linking mode,then please add device in APP.If there still has problem,please send us screenshot in order center,thanks!☺

**Q: i have 4 5 in 1 controllers and neither of them go in to pilot mode or blinking after holding the button 3 sec only changes colors what should i do?**

1)There's  2 type 5 in 1 controller,model LS2 and WL5.
WL5 can be wifi controlled by APP directly,
LS2 only can be wifi controlled by APP via gateway hub(www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7C3HXQ)
2)Long press [SET] key on WL5,indicator red light would blink,device is ready for connection.
Long press [Switch] key on LS2,it wouldn't work,indicator light would change color for different color strip light(red is RGB mode,blue is RGB+CCT mode,etc)

**Q: I bought this item together with the b0 and b8 wall controllers . i can only connect through app and miboxer app. not milight cloud or b0/b8 control?**
A: Yes,you can,please linking WL5 controller with B0 and B8 wall controller first,linking way is available in each manual,as some power supply has time delay on turning off,please plug in/out the male connnector to WL5 to turn on/off electricity while linking it to B0 B8.Thanks!☺
