Great communication with decent range
This is a very effective communication device. We ride UTVs with multiple individuals at once, and need a way to stay in contact in case one of the group gets left behind or takes a wrong turn. Most of the vehicles have a built-in radio device, but we weren't planning on keeping our current UTV long enough for it to make sense to invest in such a device. We bought this radio, and a headset to allow it to be utilized while underway. This radio has great range, and effectively reaches out quite a ways, over hills, dunes and through forests, to allow us to stay in contact with our group. I definitely appreciate the pre-programmed channels; if we find interference on one, someone calls out the name of a different channel, and we all reconvene over there. I definitely recommend this as a worthwhile solution for riding.

Safety and fun
We do alot of riding and have Rugged in all 4 of our side by sides. Great set up. Our niece bought a side by side and couldn't really afford the total set up. This was a great option for her. The value was perfect for her budget. The range was sufficient she typically stays close to us. The channels were enough even on a busy weekend at the sand dunes. Very clear from vehicle to vehicle

Works well with others in the ATV group.
Product is good, worked well to hear warnings and info from others as we rode ATV trails. Seems a bit pricey compared to the Baofeng radios that cover the same frequencies, but worked well, and utilize some of the Rugged Radios own frequencies

Solid radio
I love this radio. I used it on a jobsite for months and the sounds quality was good, mic worked great. The only complaint I have is that the push to talk button is awfully sensitive. It takes almost no force to activate the radio so I have to worry about positioning.

All my friends have those ridiculously expensive full in car and car to car setups and I bought this, lol. I was able to talk to the group during our last trip to Kanab with zero issues.
