I was cutting dovetails with a really cheap saw I bought and the kerf was way too wide. I could never get a tight joint using that cheap saw. This suizan though made a huge difference. Granted I still had to pay attention and make sure of my cuts, it wasn't as if this tool did the work for me, but cutting on the pull stroke, the smaller kerf, the ergonomics of the handle etc meant I was a lot better at cutting the joint. Plus because I was going well and this is such a nice tool in the hand that I cut a lot more practice joints than I did before. So happy with this purchase

You have to pay a bit more for quality but this is a lovely tool and well worth it. It's amazing how effortlessly Japanese pull saws cut through wood unlike our inferior western style ones. Used primarily to cut bird mouth cuts in rafters for a greenhouse project and the accuracy is spot on, hopefully it'll do for a few more projects over the years.

Had this saw in my basket for years after hearing lots of positive stuff about it online. Noticed it was in the sale one day so took the plunge. It was absolutely worth it. Believe the hype, these saws are superb tools and worth every penny. Would definitely recommend.

To start with so sharp and so precise in giving clean cuts - the proverbial knife through butter but with time (not as much as I would think reasonable) the performance and wow is reducing.

Fantastic quality and so light and strong

This is the most frequently used saw I have. Nice narrow kerf and quick to make cuts, with accuracy (or as accurate as the user!). Have used for a few months, on soft and hardwoods, with no signs of needing replaced. Recommended.

Excellent accurate cutting.

I bought the pull saw for specifically for finer work and later on for making dovetail joints. First impressions are good and I can see why so many have provided great reviews. This was a good buy and I can see me using the saw many times in the future, especially where neatness and accuracy of cut are concerned. I'd recommend to others too and given the price, is affordable to most.

Solid purchase

Questa sega l'ho tenuta d'occhio a lungo, poi prima di Natale mi sono finalmente deciso ad acquistarla. Se saputa usare taglia in maniera perfetta, non sbava e entra nel legno come fosse burro. Il primo progetto che ho realizzato con la sega, sono state delle stelle di natale, prima ho fato una dima con due angoli e poi ho tagliato tutti i pezzi della lunghezza desiderata. Mi sono divertito un sacco a lavorarci, quando gli attrezzi funzionano bene anche il divertimento non manca.

Esta sierra corta con facilidad y permite alta precisión. El corte es muy fino (incluso demasiado fino en algunas ocasiones, por ejemplo para hacer las ranuras de trastes en un diapasón de guitarra). Es cómoda, ligera, precisa y adaptable a muchos trabajos. Pero por su tamaño no esperes serrar un tronco! Es para trabajos finos. En cuanto a ciertas quejas sobre el acabado del mango, es cierto que hay pequeños detalles, pero no afectan en absoluto al corte. Creo que esta empresa, para mantener precios asequibles, ha preferido centrarse en la alta calidad de la hoja, dejando un poco de lado el mango. Pero repito: es pura estética. Sigue siendo un mango cómodo, y la hoja es muy buena.

Should have bought this way sooner. So much easier to cut dovetails. Cuts super fast (both cross and rip cuts) with minimal to no tear out. Super thin kerf. Really excellent. Be aware that if you use dovetail saw guides you might want to get the bigger one to get maximum cutting depth

Terrific pull saw. Leaves very smooth kerfs and the perfect blade length for me for the majority of the wood working projects I use it for.
