The Real Thing!
I was glad to find these were actual MPF102 JFETs, all in good working condition. A previous order from another vendor of MPF102 JFETs, turned out to be ordinary transistors, even though they were marked MPF102. Counterfeit electronics parts is a growing problem, usually found from vendors in China. I alerted Amazon to this, and even though it had been outside of the return time-period, they gave me a refund. I am very happy with these JFETs and will be glad to order them again. This is a good value.

Works as desired in FET preamp
Bough these for a noisebox preamp and it worked using schematic I found on the internet (search for contact mic preamp) These are great for piezo mikes since the input inpedance is very high and matches the pickup element for best s/n ratio. This was a notably quiet FET.
