RadBizz Hat Stretcher for Fitted Hat - Cowboy Hat Stretcher - Original Version Beige

Was gifted a scally cap that fit just a bit too snug. Was able to drop this in the hat and easily adjust it. Once I had it set I left it sitting in the hat and when I came back a few days later I took the hat off and It felt like a better fit and the hat maintained its shape well. This thing is well built with solid material. Looks good and expect that it will hold up well over time

I have a huge head and fall between an L/XL and XL/XXL Flexfit hat. L/XL are normally too tight and take a year to naturally stretch enough to feel comfortable. XL/XXL are just right when I buy them but become too loose over time. So I bought this to stretch out a new L/XL, and it worked perfectly! Rather than boiling water like the instructions suggest, I used a garment steamer that I already owned. I stretched the hat about 1/2" larger than its current size and steamed the band heavily for about 2min. Then let it set for about 30min in the stretcher, then take it out for 30min. Then I'd start over, and stretch it another 1/2" more, repeating the same process. I did this several times until I reached the desired size. Not sure if it was necessary but it didn't feel right stretching it the entire way all at once, so I did it in intervals. Ultimately the hat came out perfectly! I got it exactly where I wanted it, and it feels great. It feels like an L/XL would normally feel after a year or two of natural wear, which is just how I like it. It looks good as well, with no indication it was stretched unnaturally. It's been a few days and so far it's still the same size. Overall this was a great buy. It's such a simple product and I could've probably used homemade items to achieve the same result, but I didn't want to bother when something so convenient exists. Can't wait to buy more hats, especially since L/XL usually has a much wider selection and cheaper price.

With the use of a little steam to soften the felt this certainly did the job of stretching/reshaping my cowboy hat. However the precision of the threading between the nut/turnbuckle and the shaft seems a bit loose as there is more wobble than I expected. In making my 7 5/8 hat more long instead of round I got near the end of the threading and wound up having to disassemble and reassemble the whole thing. Also, the instructions are a bit sparse as there is definitely a front, back, top and bottom to this device that makes it much more effective when you understand - both wooden blocks are tapered and the tapered side on them needs to go in to the hat first, and the end that is stamped with the brand name should go in the front of the hat. Lastly - as at least one other comment I read mentioned - I found I needed to remove the hat band from the outside of the hat and resize it separately. While I was at it I also applied some mink oil to the inside leather band to soften it and allow it to more easily stretch and shape to fit. On the whole a good product that has helped me make my hat fit much more comfortably. If you have a lot of hats to resize/reshape you may want to consider another product that is sturdier (sorry I don't have a recommendation).

Recently found a vintage hat at a great price but it was a size 7- I could barely get it on my head. Fitted sizes vary and can shrink too, so this is a great tool for the price to have on hand. I followed some recommendations and sprayed the inside sweatband with water, the slowly cranked the tool tight and let it sit for a few hours. It definitely stretched to hat at least one full size, and I could have cranked it more but might have misshapen the hat too much. This was a vintage 100$ wool hat so wool stretches/shrinks more than cotton or poly, but I think stretching one full size is doable for any hat with this tool and a wrench. My 15mm wrench fits the screw and let me put much more force on it than by hand only. This opens up my options for buying used, hard to find, or limited size hats.

Is my head growing exponentially or are my old hats just shrinking as they absorb sweat? Either way, this thing makes it possible for me to use hats that I've previously left for dead. The hats don't remain permanently stretched - they do revert to their more shrunken size if the hat stretcher doesn't stay in them. For that reason, it may be nice to have two of these, so your next hat is ready to go - it takes a while fora hat to stretch out. I'm really happy with this and will probably pick up a few more as my noggin continues its neverending expansion.

Bought a New Era 5950 Low Profile hat online. It was just a smidge too small to be comfortable. So I went to Lids to try on a size up, but they didn't have one in stock. The guys in the store were chatty as usual, so they asked what I was looking for/needed/etc. I explained what was going on, and they told me that a size up is probably going to be too big anyway, and to buy a hat stretcher on Amazon. I didn't even know these things existed (though it seems like a pretty obvious product for the world to have). I searched right there in the store, the guy pointed to this one, I bought it on the spot, said thanks and left. The good news is that it worked perfectly. Popped it in my hat, twisted the thing to stretched it a bit, left it on the table for maybe 20-30 minutes. The hat fits great now. The bad news is that I got a $70 parking ticket in my 10 minute trip to Lids. I could have just bought another hat...I guess I'll just have to take that guy's word for it that the next size up would be too big. So don't be like me. Find out about hat stretchers and buy this one before you get a parking ticket.

This was a great purchase. My husband originally bought his Stetson back in 2003 while serving in the military. Recently, he let his hair grow out, and suddenly the hat no longer fit comfortably. After doing a quick search on Amazon, we found this hat stretcher—and it worked perfectly! We placed the stretcher in the hat overnight, and that’s all it took. By morning, the fit was just right again. It saved a cherished hat and brought it back into rotation. Highly recommend for anyone needing to resize a favorite hat!

It's OK, and it DOES work, however, it's only works up to hat size 7 - 1/2" and that is ALL...the bolts on the device runs out of threads RIGHT AT 7 -1/2 hat size, I know FOR A FACT because that's the size I needed it for. So for me, did it work? Yes, but it was wobbly when stretched out to 7 - 1/2 cause I mentioned it's completely out of threads at that point and can't get it any bigger. If you need a hat any bigger than 7 - 1/2, DO NOT buy this product, it flat out won't work for you. If you own this company and I somehow got a faulty one - let me know and send me a NORMAL one because 100% fact, what I'm saying here is true for the hat stretcher I was sent.

臭いも木材の臭いで嫌な臭いはありません。かなり良く伸びるので、締め付けには注意も必要です。そんなに締め付ける訳ではないのですが、ただ一つ、何と言うんでしょうか、真ん中の伸び縮みさせるグリップ？が、もう少し回しやすい様に出来てると良いかと思いますね。

Excellent product. I can use my Stetson hat again.

Worked just like they said it would. Required a 14 mil spanner to tighten the stretcher and with the help of a little steam I now have a hat that fits. When I’m not wearing the hat I leave the stretcher in the hat to keep the size right.
