Works great with both Wifi 5 and 6 devices for such a small footprint
Works surprisingly well with old and new devices. I get about 600 mbps from Wifi 5 notebooks about 30ft away, through 2 walls and a ceiling. For Wifi 6 devices like iPhone 12 and 12 Pro Max, I get 750-800 mbps 15 feet away, and about 400-550 mbps 30ft away, on a different floor. Signals for 2.4 Ghz devices like floodlights and camera are also fairly strong, and has no problem streaming 1440p videos from cameras mount above the garage at the back (thru 30ft and 2 walls) and the camera above the front door (40ft away). Connections have been very stable, and easily handles over 25 devices without a problem.I tried a few other Wifi 6 (Asus XT9, RT-AX5400), 6E (TP-Link AXE75, AXE7800) and even 7 (TP-Link Deco BE11000) routers that cost more, some with external antennas, and this is the fastest among them for 5Ghz devices. Overall a compact but powerful router and good value for money, if you have a wired backhaul.

Works great for wired Ethernet backhaul.
My house is wired for Ethernet. I searched for a system that worked well with wired backhaul and found some very positive reviews for these units. Because wireless mesh is not needed if you have Ethernet you only need a dual band system. The range and throughput is outstanding, and it solves coverage gaps in my house that I had with the AT&T BGW210-700 gateway and AirTies range extenders. I used 3 units- two in our house and one in our detached garage, and the whole property gets very good coverage now.

Addional Node for ZenWiFi system
I have a two node ZenWiFi XT12 Pro mesh network setup but the upstairs corner was a little spotty. Added this node and placed it upstairs now we have a constant 400 megabit connection. So easy to add via the ASUS app. Placed it by the main node during setup the. Placed it where I needed it. Took 8 min total. If you need an extra node (it doesn’t have to match the other nodes in terms of model as long as it’s a part of the ASUS ZenWiFi family)

It was pretty seemless to install and hook into the main system...
I am pretty tough on my WiFi units as I have quite a list of wireless items running on the WiFi. I eventually went with an Asus ROG system, and it DEFINITELY runs the house of items! So, after trying several other brands who could not stay connected, get connected or handle the amount of items. So, I bit the bullet and spent the coin on these. And, it paid off.I have yet to experience an outage on any of the system, be it the WiFi router itself, or the little assistants listed here. They were an absolute breeze to hook up. The WiFi router app did all of the work. It transferred all of the necessary information to the extenders, verified the setup, and away it went. I am a definite fan of Asus now. These extenders have quite a range as well, as I can be out in the yard on a 1/3 acre, and still be able to connect to the system. My cameras have been undisturbed and fully functional. My appliances are all working as they have been meant to be.

I regret buying this unit. It has proven unreliable and Asus has not supported a good solution.
Asus motto, "Delivering the Incredible".incredible /ĭn-krĕd′ə-bəl/adjectiveSo implausible as to elicit disbelief; unbelievable.I wish I had known that they meant Incredibly bad customer service.10 days after I was told that they were sending a replacement, nothing was sent, so I called again.Time spent to date trying to resolve this 2:48 minutes.Bought this to add to the two ET8 units I have (which have worked without a problem). This unit goes off line frequently. Also, it will not work with the Ethernet network at the house for the backhaul.I bought this to connect to our security cameras, so reliability is paramount.Asus warranty will only cover a repair to the unit. After 2 hours of troubleshooting and negotiation, they agreed to send a replacement unit IF AND WHEN THEY HAVE ONE IN STOCK after I pay a "holding fee" of $249, refundable when I return the defective unit. The unit is currently listed on Amazon for $91.I don't have a problem with the fee, but they have no idea when they will have a replacement unit in stock.Should they get a replacement unit, they will give a ONE call. If I don't answer that call, they will send an email.

Solid performance with thick walls
I ordered this equipment for extending our network in a home with very thick, 18-inch adobe walls. The first unit came with a defective pair, so I returned it and received a replacement. I did call customer service for support in setting up the network. The first rep wasn't very helpful, but a second rep was very knowledgeable, though it did take being on the call for 45 minutes. These now work like a charm, extending the network to a bedroom well past three sets of these 18 inch walls, which another router was unable to do. Definitely recommend.

Works great!
First off I have had a few different wifi solutions in my home. After researching and reading reviews I opted for the dual band model using cat5 as a backhaul between the 2 pods(cat5 prewired in home). Coverage around my house is great, and I don't have any drop out or band change issues. With over 30 devices connected the system seems to balance things well. Easy install and app is user intuitive imo.

Two year update - Not good - off loaded customer support that also does not work
Update two year: If you call, you get someone who has very little experience and will send you to their website to figure it out. A sad cost savings that does not work. They also updated their phone app, which does not work with older routers (2 years old) and there is no support to fix the problem and you cant get older app. A router should be good for more than 2 year. This was my second try at a Mesh WiFi 6 router. The setup took about 5 mins. You have to set the satellites close to each other at first, which seem a little odd but you can move them where you like after that. It has a dedicated mesh 2.4/5 GHz mesh WiFi 6 system that works great. I pay for 200 Mbps and I get it. My first try was the night hawk from net gear and the speeds were up and down. I check my speeds at that the source, and it is consistent with phone app. You also can get up to six guest networks and assign them to the 2.4 or the 5 GHz channel. This is very nice if you have older camaras or devices that only work on the 2.4 GHz channel. The mesh system is designed to switch automatically, depending on where you are, not good for older device that only run on 2/4 GHz. The guest networks can be assigned. The parent control features are outstanding if you have kids. App is ok but there is no help to better understand the details on the screens. I prefer the computer interface, which is easier to navigate. I called the help line, and they were quick to respond and helpful with my technical questions. Once it is set up, you are done. I would recommend this product.

Perfectly compatible with ASUS ZenWiFi XT9 AX7800 Tri-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System
worked great when attaching as new nodes on my existing AsusZenwifi network.

Asus Mesh WiFi 6

Solved my spotty wifi issues
Product works as designed. Had to reset the device to get it to autoconfigure properly, would recommend that to new purchasers. Also, new firmware update was identified with the mobile app.Looks good and works well! Highly recommend.
