Umimile Tension Shower Curtain, 51-126” Spring Shower Curtain Rod

I needed a cost-effective way to add closet doors to a bedroom in a home we are preparing to list for sale. The original doors were clumsy and heavy, so we removed them years ago. This room-wide spring tension rod was the perfect solution at a very reasonable price - sturdy and easy to install. I am 73 and I was able to install it by myself (experienced DIYer). The tension was simple to adjust, ensuring that the rod will stay securely in place no matter how those 96" panels are tugged open and closed. The panels will be altered later an inch or two so they just skim the floor. I could not be happier with this spring rod. BTW, this is RENTER FRIENDLY!

This was perfect! We first purchased a heavy duty tension rod from another provider and the dimensions were complete incorrect from what was advertised on their website. I also noticed that these two competitors have the same products but Amazon was for half the price so when looking at this particular curtain rod I decided this time to go with Amazon. The delivery was relatively quick (2-3 days) and was exactly as advertised. The black was true black and came with three rods: The rod with the spring, small, and large. I purchased three rods to fit my bedroom windows (81 inches length) and for the living room (113 inches length). The rod was easy to assemble in terms of placing the rods together, but I would definitely recommend having a second person to help install depending on the height. We installed the rods on 8ft 9inch walls. It was simple to tighten and loosen the rods to the walls for securing or readjusting. The one thing I wasn’t expecting was a loud pop when tightening the rods to a certain point. It scared us at first, but after we confirmed no damage was done to the dry wall or the rod itself, we assumed that’s the noise it makes when it’s ’locked in’. I would highly recommend it. The three purchased was 1 for the bedroom and 2 for the living room. The living room was used 1 layer for sheer curtains and the other layer for black out curtains. I would highly recommend it.

MUST BUY!! Just received the curtains and rods. The rods are GREAT! Very sturdy, easy to put together, great retention and curtains are staying in place on a very breezy day. It is helpful to have 2 people around when putting these up, but not absolutely necessary. I put 2 sets up on my own but when another person came to help, it was nice to have extra hands. I did ziptie the rod to the gazebo base at the top but that was just an added security that I wanted. Really durable rods and I am sure these won't rust.

This is a heavy duty tension rod, which lives up to the stated dimensions and use promises. Gave it 4 stars because the rubber end cover came off when I took it down after a few days up with a heavy curtain hung on it. The rubber end cap was easy to put back on, but still, I felt it should be attached, not easily removed for this item. I would definitely recommend this tension rod for its good looks, heavy duty ability to hold and ease of setup.

Amazing! Easy to install and really holds my curtains on my outside porch - even in the wind

I have two sliding glass doors that have a window above them. 95 inch height. Didn’t want to have to drill holes above the doors because that leaves me with a weird height that would be too tall for 96 inch curtains and too short for 108 inch. So I went with the strong spring loaded rod. The lightweight one holding the sheers I had up before would never have held new curtains. The adjustment button helps you get the length adjusted without endless screwing the two pieces apart. I measured the space, then mostly adjusted size using the button and holes. Space it was close to your needed size as possible then use the two plastic end pieces to finalize the placement. I got it almost where I needed it, put on curtains, a heavy 100 inch wide 96 inch long blackout, and then did the final adjustments in a 71 inch space. I pull curtains open and shut and despite their weight the curtain rod is holding firm.

Worked Great!

I got this for my floor length living room curtains. The other rod I had was not strong enough to hold up the curtains. This rod is great, good heavy duty quality. And strong enough to hold up the floor length curtains. My reason for 4 stars is because my curtains get caught on the backside of the rod. Not a functional problem just a nuisance.

I purchased this to hang some Christmas decorations across a doorway and it is excellent. It’s almost fully extended and it can hold fake pine garland with no bend in the rod. It is very easy to put together and take down and it did not damage the walls!!

This rod is super strong and can be easily adjusted to suit your needs—I’d definitely recommend it!

Does exactly what we purchased this for. It holds a privacy curtain between the living and sleeping areas of our travel trailer. Installed it a year ago and it hasn't moved since.

Very easy to setup (did so alone). I bought the longest option, and only ended up using one of the additional pieces. Three additional extendor pieces sitting in the box for the future, I guess.

Solid bars. Happy with them. The ends caps rotation could use more is instructions on tightening direction. The metal node should be mark so you can find it when you loose it.
