An essential product
This is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone! My baby was very poorly and when he came home from the hospital I was a wreck - this device helped to ease my worries and get some sleep. It is so easy to use and I love that it’s portable - doesn’t matter if baby is sleeping in his cot, pram, etc because it just clips to his vest. Also no false alarms when you lift baby up like the in cot ones because it doesn’t matter if you forget to turn it off when you lift them. I haven’t had a single false alarm! It went off when baby stopped breathing (thankfully he was ok) and once when baby rolled on to front. The temp function is also useful to keep an eye on how warm/cold baby is, although I always checked his chest and they generally matched. When the clip broke, they sent me two free of charge. I had a problem with my device several months after buying it and they replaced it for free without any fuss and were very kind. The customer service is perfect!

Excellent essential piece of monitoring equipment
I bought this for my newborn daughter and found it a godsend giving me peace of mind. It was easily set up, clips onto vest/sleep suit, the clothing does have to fit correctly as if too baggy this can affect readings and set off the alarm. It gives constant reading of temperature, breathing rate and sleeping position. I leave the app open on my phone which does drain the battery but it provides a bit of a night light. You can set alerts if temperature drops/rises and if they roll onto their tummy. The range on the Sense-U isn’t great as it uses Bluetooth so you do have to be in same room for it to connect and stay connected. I have to change the battery around every 4 weeks and I use it every night so not bad. However it does need to be removed from clothing when not needed as this does deplete battery life in the Sense-U. Also I log out of the app when not in use or again this can affect battery life as it tries to connect when in range and can set off alarms re temp drop, weak breathing etc. But overall my opinion of the Sense-U is that it is an excellent essential piece of monitoring equipment. It resolves any paranoia issues and gives me the peace of mind to be able to fall asleep quickly.

Excellent for what it is- offers me piece of mind
We got this as our preterm baby had been on nicu and apnea was one of the concerns for us whilst there. We have only been using it a week, so my review is based on limited experience so far. This device is not for everyone and whilst I highly recommend it as it gives me piece of mind the alerts could cause some to worry or be disturbed unnecessarily. The stomach roll feature I’m sure will be useful in the future, all it tells me now is if my partner hAs picked up the little one for cuddles! I haven’t had an alert for the breathing yet (except once when I had taken the device off, so the alert does work!!) which is a good sign. The temperature is not very accurate but I wasn’t expecting it to be, what it does do is allow me to track trends in my babies temperature and watch out for extremes (e.g if baby is showing hotter than normal on here it’s a good sign that he is hotter and I should look into it). You get several features compared to similar devices which gives good value for money. The app is basic but easy to use, could be improved by showing historical data to help with trends. It will drain your battery but I only use this so far at night when I am not watching constantly so the phone is plugged in. The alerts aren’t very loud, but I am waking up often anyway for the baby and I’m confident they would wake me up. I think this will be really useful for the first few months of nerves and then again when little one moves to his own room and starts being more active.

Really good product
I bought this as I was concerned about newborn breathing and temperature this definitely helped me a lot especially first few weeks where all you do is worry. The app on mobile alerts you when baby is on tummy or low bpm and if temp goes too high or drops too low so can always keep eye on babys wellbeing which makes this product worth it. Shame the product is so expensive just for the one clip tho. I Thought I would have at least got the clip and base for the price was a little taken back when i saw was just the clip that goes on baby tummy. They send you our spare batterys which is always really handy and can use straight away. I would recommend to more mummy's but the price is a negative. The app has a few bugs need fixing it does stop connecting to the sensor and I have to turn it off and back on again to connect it not something you like of baby and you are asleep if something happens and you don't get an alarm to warn you

Not impressed anymore unfortunately
I was so impressed with this to start with. I have a massive fear of SIDS and this monitor helped put my mind at ease and allowed me to catch up on much needed sleep when baby was sleeping, knowing I would be alerted to any sudden changes. However, after 6 months of continued use, only once a night for no more than 7 hours, the sense u baby clip is failing to connect to my phone. I have tried changing batteries, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, installing the app on my partners phone in case it is my bluetooth messing around, but nothing works. It connects for a few minutes, it is left to run on my main screen, but when checked after a few minutes, it is no longer connected and starts trying to connect upon me reopening my phone. I have never changed the routine, or anything on my phone, and so am so dissappointed that it is no longer working! Many sleepless nights ahead now, worrying about my baby! So has to be one star as it basically is just a show clip on my baby now

Beautiful, novel little product for added peace of mind for wherever baby sleeps!
When my husband and I first started looking at monitors (I particularly wanted a breathing monitor after my uncle lost a baby to SIDS a few years ago) we looked at all the normal brands, all of which were mattress pads. Our circumstances didn’t really lend themselves to this as we are emigrating not too long after baby is born - so baby would be in a variety of sleeping areas, a Moses basket, a side sleeper and a main cot (plus a nest for daytime sleeping). After looking into it, I realised the mattress pad based ones couldn’t really be used with all of these. I started thinking surely there must be something you can attach to baby rather than to the sleeping place and after a bit more research I came across wearable monitors. It seems like there are only a few available and the Sense-U definitely seemed the least intrusive and I really liked that thr monitor is linked to an app and also has features for temp monitoring and roll over alert. People say you don’t need them - ‘you’ll know, you’ll be hyper aware to every movement’ which may be true but for me, for the cost, I couldn’t see any disadvantage of having a back up, just even for my own confidence. Becoming a mum for the first time is fraught with worry so if you can get something to help that, why not? The product itself is beautifully designed - a lovely soft feeling material (would be nice against skin, not hard or plasticky). I feel much better knowing baby will be wearing this.

Good, just not great for me
Our baby was born premature and for the first 3 months of his life in hospital it was vital he was on an apnea monitor as he would stop breathing randomly. When we were finally able to bring him home we wanted the extra reassurance that an apnea monitor would bring. We decided on this as it is small, discreet and easy to set up. It is all of those things, very easy to set up. It is a good device and is going to be great for a lot of people but for us, we just didn't find that it was reassuring us as much as we wanted. It also warns you of temperature drops and if the baby moves on to their stomach. If you only want it for when the baby rolls over then this is great and for that extra little reassurance then perfect. Our issues with it were as below: - That the temperature didn't seem accurate compared with a thermometer. - The heartbeat monitor would show a heart rate even when it was left on the table. - Not all our baby clothes are snug-fitting which meant this was then pointless. - Also it can't be used if the baby is just in a nappy, our flat gets really hot and clothes can make our baby too hot. - It can only be used on one mobile phone, if it's connected to mine and then I need to go out, we would need to wake our baby up and move or shake the device to then allow another device connect to it's Bluetooth. Overall the idea is amazing, it's just that it didn't quite work for us.

Peace of mind!
We were looking for a product to provide some peace of mind to aid the transition of our baby from our next to me cot to his own crib. We use it in combo with our video camera/monitor which together have definitely made us feel a lot more comfortable. We mainly purchased for the motion detection feature, specifically the alarm for tummy sleeping and are extremely impressed with the accuracy! The unit can tell you if the baby is sitting up, on their side, on their tummy and on their back. The phone app then alarms if the baby has moved onto their tummy. The breathing monitor feature is also a great bonus and as yet no false alarms. The main feature we were worried about was the range between the phone app and the on the baby device but we haven't experienced any problems. We live in 4-bed new build and can use the app (Iphone X) in every room in the house upstairs and downstairs - without losing signal - so for us, this hasn't been a problem and a big relief as many other reviews have expressed concerns regarding the range. As its a new build the walls aren't "solid" and all of the doors are wooden, so I don't know if this is what's making the difference to allow us to use the device throughout the house? All in all, I would definitely recommend this product for the tummy sleeping feature alone! It's easy to use / set up and shows you in real time how your baby is doing, alerting you to any concerns or changes, with a phone alarm.

Comodissima l'app dove personalizzare i vari allarmi.
