A great Guitar
I was dubious about buying this. But for the price it is a great little Guitar. Lovely finish on the Body. The Headstocks front is finished in a Gloss lacquer. However the neck and fretboard feel as though there is no finish on there. I have emailed Squier about this to see what it has or has not been given at the Factory. There is no Skunk stripe on the back of the neck. But that's not an issue. It sounds pretty good too, but don't expect a full on Telecaster twang. My Guitar has a low hum, until I touch the Strings. A bad Earth possibly? Going to have that looked into. The Strings are 9 gauge so easy to play on and the neck and Fretboard is smooth, so nice to play, the C shaped neck is also very comfortable in the Hand. It is very light to hold too. The Action on the strings are fairly low. Using YouTube and a Guitar care kit, I managed to set the Neck relief and set the String Action even lower, increasing the playability out of the box. All in all, I am very happy to have bought this Guitar. 10/10. Great Guitar for a Beginner or someone like me wanting something cheap to learn Guitar Maintenance on whilst having something to play too.

Amazing value!
I bought the Squier Affinity Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde, from Amazon warehouse. Saved a good £30 on the already dirt cheap price of £212 - what a bargain! The parcel came in the original packaging, which had been opened previously but showed very little damage. The guitar itself was well cushioned with packaging inside and, after giving it a thorough going over, the only fault I could spot was a very slight blemish on one of the edges of the main body's paintwork - the sort of mark that my other guitars have aplenty from general use! I was able to lick my thumb and smoothe it out, good as new! The guitar is made in China, contrary to some advertising is as Indonesia. Regardless of where it's made, this is a very well made guitar and I'd be hard pushed to tell it apart from and American made Tele. The only real giveaway is the weight, as the poplar wood is a fair bit lighter than the Ash or Alder used on the originals. This actually has it's benefits, as it makes it very playable without putting too much stress on your back. The only drawback is a bit of neck dive, which is not a big issue at all. The pickups and control knobs/switch are a cheaper alternative to the OG, as is the plastic truss rod nut, compared with the OG's bone nut. These are minor aesthetics, that really don't affect the playing of the guitar unless you are a perfectionist audiophile who has a finely tuned ear. It's honestly the best sounding and easiest playing guitar I've ever owned and I can barely tell the difference between this and original teles I've previously played. Buy this guitar or you'll regret it when they realise they're undercutting themselves at this price!

Great guitar
Wish I’d replaced my old Yamaha years ago!! One issue with loose tone adjuster but easily fixed. It plays so well once the action and intonation are sorted

Amazing Telecaster guitar for the money. Sounds as good as a £3000 guitar.
So there's nothing really to fault this guitar (Fender Squire Affinity Telecaster), especially for the price (£189 in December 2022 from Amazon UK). Delivered directly from Fender UK (nice). I'm no expert guitarist, but have played a few in my time, and have written for guitar (bass / electric /acoustic). The sound is spot on for a Telecaster. Easy to tune and the strings hold their tuning fairly well over time. The finish of the neck and body is of good quality (smooth and glossy body, with smooth satin neck), and the fret is finished perfectly (no sharp edges or rough bits). Even the 2 knobs and the coils selector feel pretty solid (reviews of older versions found these to be a bit plasticy and bendy). Its fairly light - I'm used to something with a couple of more KGs weight, but that is probably a good thing - especially for beginners. Note: The strings come loosely tuned (down tuned), so wil need to be tuned upon delivery. There are a number of good easy to use iPhone / Android apps that wil do this very quickly / easily. In all, a really good all rounder for blues / jazz / rock / country / pop / lead or backing.

Seems great
Received this guitar today and spent a couple of hours enjoying myself playing it. It’s worth noting that, despite owning and fiddling about on guitars for more than 20 years, I am still what I class as a beginner. Self taught, pick up and put down with no particular dedication to learning properly. That said, I have owned four guitars in that time, of varied quality. I have owned a Lindo semi-acoustic for about ten years, which has been a good guitar but I found the action a little high and the sound just reasonable. Years ago, I had a Squier Strat and originally ordered a new one of those. Amazon really let me down, postponing and delaying delivery of that so I got fed up, cancelled the order and ordered this instead. I’m glad I did. This is so much better than the strat I owned. The action is low, the neck is smooth and it sounds great. It looks beautiful too. I’ve managed to play some barre chords that actually sound like they should, which I was struggling with on the Lindo, so bonus! Finally, I bought the Amazon warehouse version which said it may have scratches and a damaged package. It had neither, which Amazon warehouse goods often don’t. It was in pristine condition and about £30 cheaper than the brand new version. In short, if you are a beginner, looking for a decent electric guitar, you could do a lot worse than this.

The guitar arrived earlier than expected and there are some wear and tear on the packaging but the guitar itself is in pristine condition considering I purchased it from Amazon Warehouse. No string buzzing whatsoever, the frets are all nice and smooth but I have to further tweak the string action, bridge action and the pickup heights for my playing preference. The satin C shape neck is a joy to play, the tuners keep their tune, and the pickups are excellent for the price. It did not come with a case and strap but I have no complains, this is a great value guitar!
