I don't see .223/5.56 listed. Does this have components that'll clean a AR-15?

Is this really 159 pc? Looks like the 64 pc

Hi, actucally it is indeed 160pcs.It includes: 3 solid brass rods for 17-270 caliber rifles; 3 solid brass rods for 30 caliber rifles, pistols, shotguns and muzzleloaders; 14 brushes; 9 mops; 12 spear-pointed jags; 1black powder jag; 4 Slotted patch loops; 3 utility brushes; 3 muzzle guards; 3 accessory adapters; 100 cleaning patches; 4 polishing clothes and a free empty oil bottle.

Will either Hoppe's brushes or Otter brushes thread onto the rods in this kit? As so many kits are different thread patterns.

there are two rod sets. the smaller rods are .195 dia (too large for .17 cal, marginal for.204 cal.) and there is an adapter to fit 8-32 SAE threads. The larger rods will fit a .243 (6mm) bore or larger, 8-32 SAE threaded tips. All of the rifle/pistol tips in the kit are 8-32 threads, or if larger (shotgun and .50 cal tips) will fit the provided adapters. Any rifle/pistol tip that has 8-32 threads will work.

Are the different color cases listed actually different kits? I would prefer the silver case, but it doesn't picture the same number of pieces as the green kit.

I ordered the silver case and it shows as a handgun cleaning kit in the confirmation email, pretty annoyed about the labeling issues with this product but it should arrive today so we'll see what's included.

Nice it covers every cal.

Looks like everything is here even a rod, jag and brush for the .17cal. all the way to .50 cal and shot guns. Of course you have to supply your own gun oil and grease a cleaner but Lucas Oil has all that and it's sol on Amazon. The only thing that's missing is dental picks but they are sold on Amazon as well. This should be called the Roofing Kit because it covers everything.

I like this kit

The .22 brush was too long for my wife’s 22 magnum revolver as it’s intended for rifle use. I cut it, but that was a mistake as it unwound. I’ve looked for short .22 brushes and there are few. Also, the .22 jag doesn’t fit well as I can only get the cleaning patches through the barrel by cutting them into fourths. Works great on my other sized guns (9mm, .357, and 38 special).
