What does it take for a battery?

It takes an 18500 lithium ion battery, which is basically the same size as a AA battery but, it has a much higher voltage.

Is it supposed to with a charger? I keep seeing people saying it didn't come with one

It doesn't come with a charger so you'll need to have a micro-usb cable for it to work. You can also just buy batteries if you don't want to connect it to a cable. It takes 18500 rechargeable batteries, which I just bought from Amazon. It has 2 settings where one just leaves the lights on while the other has it getting brighter, dimming and then getting brighter again. The figure itself is also very nice. Hope this helps.

Is this the original authentic statue by first 4 figures?

It’s authentic but is not the first release. The first release had a thinner base and was not as bright in color. The thicker base statue is better in my opinion.
