Great Air Fryer
This is a very good Air Fryer and had great reviews on Consumer Reports. It works very well and cooks the food very well. It is super easy to use as the controls are very easy to understand. Nice size, doesn’t take up much counter space. Very easy to clean the drawer and appears to be a good non-stick coating.

Works great but beware the cooking tray falls out when hot!
Beware the cooking tray easily falls out when hot, even when inserted properly (arrows matching).Despite that issue, still a 5 star product so long as you are aware of the issue since the answer is simple: don’t tip things out of it.Otherwise, it’s a nice compact size and it’s extremely quiet! We can barely tell when it’s running, especially while other things are cooking on the stove, etc.I love the “light” so you can keep an eye on the food while it’s cooking. It’s also dead simple to use and doesn’t have any presets that I never use anyways. The odor eraser is “okay”. However, I’ve never owned any other air fryer that attempted to make this claim so can’t easily benchmark it against others. Compared to our last air fryer, it makes a noticeable difference, but I wouldn’t buy it expecting to never smell what’s cooking.Preheats quickly and seems to cook efficiently as food is always cooked based on the minimum time on the package so long as you don’t overcrowd it. I seem to get the crispiest results when whatever I’m cooking is fully in contact with the cooking tray. Therefore, I doubt the claim of cooking “2lbs of fries”, at least to a desirable texture.I admit I could be doing it wrong but I tried a bag of fries once and while cooked through, they were really limp and soggy. However, this was all true of my last air fryer as well so didn’t take off any stars.Definitely well worth the money and a great choice so long as you know the cooking tray will fall out if you try and tip it past 90° (especially while it’s hot) and that the odor eraser makes a noticeable difference, but it’s not magic, the smells will still linger but with less intensity.

Great Air Fryer for larger portions of food
This is probably the best air fryer that I have ever owned. It has a large bucket that easily holds enough food for 2-3 people.I have had other air fryers in the past that were smaller or a glass base that just didn't cook enough food at once, or were a nightmare to clean. It has a filter in the lid that needs to be replaced every few months, but it is super easy and the filters are very inexpensive,I use it with a Silicone liner for things like cheese sticks, and the parchment liner for foods that may be a bit more drippy. If I am doing fries or battered foods that need crisping, I put in with out a liner at all.Cleanup is a breeze with the nonstick pan.I probably use a minimum of once a day and it cooks everything needed quickly and without all the extra power of using the oven.I even cooked a large steak in it once, and it turned out absolutely fantastic!

Seven stars! Love this air fryer. Easy to use, clean and get the most delicious crispy results.
I am in love with this Air Fryer. Last night I seasoned raw chicken wings and they came out so crispy, tender and super delicious. The controls are intuitive and easy to adjust. I love the light so I can watch what is cooking. The simple nod system replaced the usual presets that are confusing. Just turn the knob to adjust to your recipe. It is big enough for my family and so easy to clean. It is a healthy alternative to frying, and the results are delicious. I can't say enough about how much I am enjoying this Air Fryer. Plus, the price was very reasonable. It replaced my first air fryer and is such an improvement. And it is so easy to keep clean.

COMPANY RESOLVED THE ISSUE. (It Broke Under Warranty)
This is my final and fulfilled review. The air fryer itself has not been under review. The Instant company has been under reviewed. The machine itself made me very happy. Electronics is always something that can break. Just one of those things. The fryer is fabulous and I see it happily used in YouTube videos and well regarded. The company has fulfilled it's obligation to replace my under warranty air fryer, given me an apology for sending the wrong machine when one showed up, and suggested I gift it or donate it since it's not useable for me. My new machine appeared today. I am increasing the rating to 4 stars. Can't give it five stars because of the long drawn out customer support. I am so happy to be able to revise and update this review and I thank Instant for fully resolving this.I am writing to update my review. I still have not received my replacement air fryer. Same excuses and no product. Worst customer service EVER. Instant is proving to be as poor as their reputation of the past suggested. I'll keep updating, but at this point, it appears they have no intention of honoring the warranty and replacing my air fryer.Wish I could only comment about how great the machine was while it was working; because it was great. It was our first one of these and I researched it and took the America's Test Kitchen Recommendation and bought this model. I dithered a bit opening the box because it's large and I needed to do the mental gymnastics to figure out where to put it and then how to use it. About two weeks into actual use, the fan stopped working. I contacted the company (return window was closed) and provided them with the necessary proof of ownership, conditions of use and a video showing a broken machine. They were happy to inform me I'd be receiving a new machine, discard the old one (saving reusable parts) and await their tracking information. Great! Except I got silence from them. Waited over a week and was told they had a problem with their warehouse and it was being fixed. I'd get my tracking number in 2 to 3 weeks. Follow up contacts got me nowhere. Asking for my money back, I was informed I hadn't purchased it from them so they couldn't refund any money. I purchased it from them via their Amazon Store here but that is apparently different than purchasing it from Instant. Their website gives me the same contact information as the warranty information so I have no other recourse but to share my story. People have been very nice and very unhelpful in not providing me with a new machine. I had thought it would be a great gift for a couple of family members. I'm definitely rethinking this. The whole warehouse story is sounding silly. If they're waiting on manufacturing in China because of a bad batch, they should say so. Better than this excuse after 4 weeks... "Our warehouse is undergoing changes that have resulted in unexpected delays with shipments." In fairness, if they fix this for me, I will return here and update the review.

We Love this Air Fryer!
We are late to the air fryer game and bought this to replace a smart oven that had seen its better days. I love its small footprint on the countertop making more space for food preparation. It performs better than expected, reheating food much faster than a traditional toaster oven. The controls are very intuitive and easy to read, although I did download a cooking guide from the internet since we are first time users. We feel like we received a great value for our money. The basket and glass window are easy to keep clean without running it through the dishwasher. My only hesitation is the odor erase air filters, as I am not sure how often they will need to be replaced, but the process looks straightforward enough to make it an easy switch.

Disappointed - Not meant to last
I purchased this air fryer in 2022 but didn’t begin using it until I moved into my new home in 2023. Initially, I was very happy with its performance. It cooked evenly, preheated quickly, and was relatively easy to clean. For about two years, it was a reliable part of my kitchen routine and made weeknight meals easier and more enjoyable. However, this satisfaction didn’t last. Recently, the air fryer stopped working completely. Every time I try to use it, it throws an error message telling me to “close the basket” — even though the basket is fully inserted and clearly locked in place. After doing some digging online, I realized this is not a unique or isolated issue. Many users have reported the exact same failure: a faulty sensor that falsely registers the basket as open. This is clearly a design flaw, and I suspect it's intentional. The malfunction started shortly after the warranty expired, which is suspiciously convenient for the manufacturer. Even more frustrating is how the air fryer is constructed: it's nearly impossible to open it up and fix or replace the broken sensor. Everything is sealed in a way that strongly suggests the company does *not* want consumers to attempt any kind of repair. In my opinion, this is a clear example of **planned obsolescence**. The product is built to fail just outside of the warranty period, pushing customers to buy a replacement rather than fix the one they already own. It's wasteful, environmentally irresponsible, and incredibly frustrating for anyone who expects their kitchen appliances to last more than a couple of years. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth — and not the kind an air fryer is supposed to deliver. I will **never** purchase another product from this brand again, and I strongly urge others to avoid it as well. If you want something that’s actually built to last, look elsewhere. Spend a bit more and invest in a brand that values quality and customer trust over short-term profits.**Bottom Line:**Do *not* buy this air fryer or anything from this brand. It’s a scam disguised as a kitchen appliance. You’re better off saving your money and choosing a company that stands behind their products with durable design and real customer support.

Absolutely a terrific addition to any kitchen for any cook!
I fully recognize I am about 20 years behind the air fryer eight ball! It seems as if everyone has an air fryer, and recipes are all over YouTube. Finally after persistent encouragement, I bit the bullet and ordered one. Of course as always, I read multiple reviews, watched YouTube videos, and sifted through all sorts of rankings on the Internet. Just trying it on for size, I did not want to spend a huge amount of money. This Instant Vortex 6 quart was on sale at a terrific price so with great reviews, it became the chosen one. It arrived on time, but admittedly the wait seemed long because once the decision was made, we wanted it now! The packaging was superb with no part of the appliance being damaged. After reading the accompanying information, she was finally plugged in, heated up, and ready for duty. Off we go!First experiment (you guessed it) was French fries...absolutely delicious...coming out crispy on the outside and nice and "potatoey" creamy on the inside. Looking back, I think we went through a 10 lb bag of potatoes that afternoon! Next came hamburgers, but the consensus was, "They were OK, but you can't really beat the grill." Number 3 on the menu was chicken tenders seasoned, floured, dredged in egg, floured again and into the air fryer...YUMMY! Again crispy on the outside but really moist and juicy on the inside. Without consulting the experts, shrimp were sprayed with avocado oil and even though delicious, we cooked them a bit too long (our fault not the fryer's). Itching to try something a little different, beef jerky made from flank stead won at number 4; all reported it was "fantastic." Each of these foods was placed directly on the tray and put into the air fryer. No parchment, pans, foil, or silicone baskets were used at all. The next question that arose was, "So what about eggs?" Let's just say the jury is still out as far as perfecting the time and temperature. But the taste, well it tastes just like a fried egg. We did learn that aluminum foil is better than the silicone basket for eggs. This air fryer is stainless steel, solidly and masterfully constructed, has 6 functions, and is one awesomely fabulous appliance! Once positioned it is stable sitting squarely on the counter top with a basket that pulls out to the front sporting a short but adequate cord. It is extremely user friendly and simple to operate. Preheating happens quickly with final heat ranging from 95 degrees to a maximum of 400 degree set with just a rotation of the dial; there is also built in shut off capability for safety and peace of mind. Clean up is very basic and simple; it is accomplished with a squirt of dish soap, hot water, swishing , rubbing with a cloth, rinsing and drying. No scrubbing or scraping needed. Because of the size and capabilities this air fryer would be a great asset in a small apartment kitchen, a first apartment, an RV, a tiny home, and even a “glamping” campsite. In our home it is rapidly becoming an indispensable kitchen appliance. I unequivocally recommend this air fryer.Top 3 Likes:-Easy, quick, simple, safe, and stress free-Stainless steel with 6 functions-Quality construction, stable, and heavy in a good wayTop 3 Dislikes:-No dislikes!

Buen producto

Easy and Fast!
I made french fries from scratch. It was so easy. I cut up 1.5 lbs of potatoes, tossed them in 2 tbsp of olive oil, a few shakes of salt... 15ish minutes at 380 with a couple of tosses along the way and... Best fries I've ever made! And no oil to dispose of afterward, no smell of cooking oil throughout the house, and the basket and the insert cleaned up in seconds. Highly recommended!
