Great for the price but needs a higher density battery
So for starters, I really like these. They work and they look fantastic. The reason why I am giving it a 3 star review is because the manufacturer cut a lot of corners with this product. I noticed that the lights only stay on for about 2.5-3 hours each night (and that is being very generous). Being a handy guy, I decided to open one up (I thought that perhaps I could order higher density batteries and soldier them in so they will stay lit longer. It was very easy to open up, just a ring of screws on the bottom. I expected to find the standard metallic lithium ion pack that you find in most gadgets. I was very pleasantly surprised to instead find an AAA recharchable battery. That gets rid of the need to soldier. What bugs me is that there are two AAA slots and only one slot is wired up and has a battery. That tells me that perhaps a version exists on the market that takes advantage of two batteries to stay on longer. Also, I noticed that the battery that is included is a 600mah rechargeable AAA. After a quick search online for AAA rechargables (expecting to find perhaps an 800mah at best, but hey I could technically solider in a second battery myself and wire it in parallel). I was amazing to find that AAA batteries go up to (and possibly higher than) 1800mah. This tells me that the manufacturer put the least power dense battery they could find. I ordered the 1800mah batteries and im just going to swap out the 600's. I figure that at 3 times the power density (in the same-size battery) will get me between 6-9 hours of power. That's more in the ballpark of what I find appropriate for a garden light (especially a low-powered, 3-LED one like this). THAT BEING SAID... this is a great deal for great looking solar lights, and at the price point, it might not be a bad idea to order 1800mah AAA rechargeable batteries along-side these and swap them out yourself. I used a drill, because I was impatient, and it honestly took me less than a minute to open up so it shouldn't be a daunting task.

wish it were designed better and more durable
it's somewhere between 2 and 3 stars... some thing to know about it* a charge during the day lasts pretty long into the night. this is probably because there are only 3 led's, but still...* i like the flat design so that it sits into the ground. other ones i've had that are more like a light on a pole tend to get knocked over easily.* people say it's not very bright, and that's kinda true and kinda not true. the design with the led's recessed into the casing means that it doesn't throw off much light to the side. i put one of these under a tree i had, and it lit up the under side of the tree reasonably well. all the light just goes upwards. so it appears as if its really dim. this could certainly be designed better.* poor quality - i bought 16. after 6 months of use, 5 are dead. water got into them or otherwise just wouldn't turn on anymore.

Bright Light, Easy Installation
I initially ordered two sets and all units arrived in good condition. Each light was verified to be in the off position and placed in a sunny location for about two days. I then turned them on and checked that they were working by going into a closet and closing the door. Each of the eight units automatically lit as outside light was reduced. The units were installed along our driveway and have been performing well since being installed. I was pleasantly surprised at the brightness. We previously had low voltage lights installed 16 years prior and I tired of fixing broken wires. We needed four more to complete the appearance so I ordered another package of four. Unfortunately, only three of the four performed as expected. The fourth appears to have a defective switch. When turning it on (while in a dark closet) the light would come on and immediately go out as the switch would not catch. Other than this, I would have given a 5 Star rating. Have reached out to the supplier and will update this review at a later date.

One light stopped working.
One of the lights stopped working after 2 days...disappointing. The lights are pretty and put out a lot of light. However, I question whether they will last. I didn't see any way of contacting the seller for a replacement, so I guess I'm stuck with a defective light.Update: The seller was very quick to get in touch with me about these lights and sent out another set. The new set is working fine. I guess my only complaint is that they put out too much light for my walkway. When you look down to see your feet, you are blinded by the light, lol. But, I wouldn't consider this a defect. Some may really like this feature. I think they would be fine along a flower bed or driveway. Other than that, so far so good.

I couldn't get the spike to go into the ground very easily - when I tried harder
I picked these because they're flat. Don't have to worry about anyone tripping on them. I couldn't get the spike to go into the ground very easily - when I tried harder, it broke. No biggie though... I just have them on the grass along the driveway. The gardeners just move them away when they're mowing and put them back easily. I actually like it better without being stuck into the ground. Sometimes they're not very bright.. but they always do their job in lighting the way - even if a little dim sometimes.

Not excited but better than nothing.
These are NOT bright. Yes, they are solar but I have other solar lights in the exact same area and there is no comparison. Also these are brand never whereas what I have from years previous are older. These offer a dim glow and even at that, they last about 2.5 hours after a full day of bright sunshine once they turn on and then are done for the night. The stakes are not very sturdy, so I had to hammer larger nails into the dirt to get the hole started. Not difficult, but not a part of the process I expected to have to do.I like them near my shed doors. They offer just enough light that I can see where the shed doors are in the pitch black night and yet still swing the doors open fully.

If your looking for super bright dont get solar
They work very well and when charged fully they last very long. They are not extremely bright and i knew they wouldn't be they are SOLAR powered!!!! If your looking for super bright dont get solar. I used them on my deck for accent lighting and they are perfect. Def water proof, its been raining the past three days and they still work.
