Thank you for your question. Yes, the adhesive putty is reusable. Eventually it will not stick as well so it will need to be replaced with new non-abrasive adhesive putty. How would I be able to stick this on the wall If I wanted to level some wall art?

It comes with a type of sticky clay or substance that allows you to stick it to the wall.

Can this span 20 feet indoors?

I just completed a 20x12 kitchen floor tile. It works well for the 20ft length. But bumpy surface certainly won't help the situation. So, you do need to position the laser a bit higher than the tiles so the whole length can be covered. Just keep in mind that the laser is just to help for the planning. I did used a level to make sure the tiles were lined up straight, even I have the laser guided me.

Will this work on measuring fabrics on a straight line?

It will mark a straight line but is not a measuring device.
