My pedicure provider recommended a 'toe cap' for my 2nd toe as it routinely feels bruised from walking or doing elliptical exercise. I think it is helping reduce the pressure of my toe against my shoes. So, I would recommend.

My mom had bad pedicures from two different places last year; one woman cut off a chunk of skin from her inside little toe. Mom had complained about an earlier pedicure in which someone had dug too deep, getting rid of an ingrown toenail. This second woman, saw something on the inside of the little toe, said she'd take care of it. Well, she did. Now that little toe gives her grief as it rubs against the next toe. A foot doc said there wasn't anything to be done except to wrap something around it to prevent the rubbing. We tried those sleeve things from the doc's office till they stopped selling it; it was always slipping off. I tried other different products that didn't work well for various reasons. I looked around again and saw these toe caps. It stays in place, doesn't cut off circulation, and best of all, prevents that toe from rubbing against the other, so mom is pain free. It's just a tiny bit long, but I didn't want to ruin it by cutting. The extra length doesn't affect it at all. It's super soft, and can be washed. It doesn't slip off while she's wearing socks. And it's a bargain, having six, when local stores offer only 2 or 3, for a higher price, but the smaller size is mixed with the larger. I expect these to last for a couple years.
