anyone know the screw hole dmensions?

The screw hole spacing on the door closer body is 9-1/6 inches center to center.

Is this model for exterior use as well?

Our problem is that our door sometimes slams shut quickly and loudly if the wind is behind it. Will this device help stop that from happening? We are looking for something to dampen the speed at which it closes.

Yes it will, that is the very reason we bought it, our old one was broken and the door kept slamming! This appears to be working very well, no slamming and it slows the close down

What is the maximum opening angle allowed by this Closer?

This door closer can be installed so it opens 180 degrees. In order to open to 180 degrees the closer must be mount in the parallel arm style mounting.
