the colors of the ukulele is very bright and beautiful. the same as the description. I wouldn't call it a professional instruments, but it's a good beginner uku, it much better than just a toy. and it's well made. as to the strings, it used good quality nylon strings. it may not tuning before packing, so it is loose. but the new ukulele always need to be tuning before playing. so i don't mind this. I'm very glad that the seller also send a digital tuner. it has battery in it. I installed the battery in the tuner. it is very easy to use. I like the tuner; it is preset for bass, guitar, ukulele, chromatic, and wind instruments.acturally,it has a great tone, holds a tune as well as any string instrument should. I've seen a few reviews saying it doesn't hold a tune, but after a few days it should. it takes a few days for the strings to stretch out ! my little daughter love it very much. the package also including a cotton bag, a spare string and a picks. she can carry to anywhere she want. Definitely worth it! it is perfect for my 7 year litter girl. so I strong recommend to buy if you are a beginner of string instruments player or you are selecting a beginner ukulele for your kids.

I wanted to get this to tinker around with and maybe get my daughter to pick up as well. We have a pool and I thought that this would be fun to play waterside. I didn't want to make much of an investment and $36 seemed like not much of a risk.It was not a prime item so it took 6 days to arrive but it was Free Shipping. That is cool.The ukulele was well packed and upon opening it, I felt that I got my money's worth. It was wrapped in plastic and came with a fabric (non-padded) carry case, one extra string, a small digital tuner (battery included) and a single red pick. The ukulele was already loosely pre-strung.I installed the battery in the tuner. The + side of the battery faces out. And then I selected"U" for ukulele tuning of four strings. The top string is regarded as the 4th string and is "G." The second from the top is the 3rd string and is "C." The second from the bottom is the 2nd string "E." And the bottom string is the 1st string "A." You must wind the NYLON strings tightly and keep strumming the single string you want to tune until the desired letter on the tuner glows green for the particular string. I like the tuner; it is preset for bass, guitar, ukulele, chromatic, and wind instruments. You just have to select the right option. Read the included directions as they are pretty straight forward; they are in English and Chinese only.I have been watching Youtube videos on playing. I have noticed that the top frets are smaller (not as wide) as the ones in the video so I am thinking that this is intended for younger players with smaller fingers. I make due though. I am learning some songs and I hear some resemblance of what I'm trying to play. It is an interesting venture. I feel it is more my lack of rhythm than the performance capabilities of the little blue ukulele that is making the house go nuts. I'm trying...I feel that I'm re tuning the strings often; one instructor said that this is normal until the strings get worked in. We'll see. This is a introductory instrument and It cost as much as taking the family to dinner at Taco Bell and this seems just as tasty but for a longer period of time.There is the adage: "you get what you pay for," and I paid for a beginning instrument to practice and fart around with to see if I would like to keep up the hobby and this suits that purpose. I am happy over all.

I got this as a starter soprano ukulele for my kids. I chose the color 'nature wood' and it is painted/stained on the sides and back of the guitar. The guitar is of average quality/make, comes pre-strung with the four strings, and the raised frets are painted gold to resemble metal. As expected, it isn't tuned out of the box and has to be tuned before you can play a decent tune on it. The clip-on digital tuner (powered by an included CR2032 battery) that comes with it is great and lets you set the frequency as well as choose the type of instrument you are tuning i.e. chromatic, guitar, bass, violin, ukulele and wind instrument. Using the tuner and setting the type to 'U' (for ukulele), and then turning the firm pegs, it was easy to tune the ukulele strings accordingly to the notes GCEA. The digital tuner screen turns from red to green once the string is in tune. As the strings on the ukulele are new, they need to be 'seasoned' by playing on it and re-tuning it for a few days. Comparing to my more expensive ukulele, the sound/tone that resonates from it is surprisingly good. The ukulele also came with a plectrum, a non-padded and relatively thin material bag with a shoulder strap that serves to hold/carry the ukulele, and an extra string (not four) although it doesn't say which string it is.

This is definitely not a ukulele for beginners. The strings are hard to press down, the nut is too high, the sound is not genuine, and it doesn’t stay tuned very well. my daughter who loves to play my ukulele but she is not gentle to it. So I bought this so she can “knock herself out”. For this reason, it’s great. Over priced though for how cheep it is. I would not recommend this for beginners wanting to learn to play. I would recommend this for a toy for their child who’s not serious about playing. You could probably get a cheaper version for that however.

I am very satisfied with my new ukelele! The shipping time was very fast~ It arrived within 2 days! Also, I have always wanted my own ukelele. I have always played on the guitar in high school, but I have always wanted to try out the ukelele.The ukelele arrived FULLY TUNED, and in perfect condition! That is awesome because it saves me the time of having to tune up the violin by myself.I love how shiny and pretty the ukelele is :DD I will have a lot of fun playing new songs while singing along to it.
