I have a golf cart with 4 batteries at 12 volts each and I left it on the cart charging for the past 6 months and just got the cart out of storage and the batteries are just like new. In fact the cart had 2 yr old batteries in it when I got it and low on water so I installed an automatic watering system on it. Then put this charger on them. It was capable of doing 15 mph on a straight away on level ground when fully charged with the fast charger when I bought the cart. After 6 months it is now doing 17 mph on the same straight away freshly charged. Excellent charger as well as maintainer. If I don't need to do a rapid charge on the golf cart with the big charger I just leave this 48 volt charger on the cart overnight and it is fully charged by the next morning. **Q: Will I have to check my battery water level more often if using this product?** A: I have used my charger for a year and added a small amount of water after leaving the charger on for five months in the summer when I was gone . Easy to plug in at the end of the day and I love the fact that this charger de-sulfates EVERY time. My 5 yr old batteries are stronger than they have been in years.The small downside is it only charges at 3amps max, so if you run the batteries down pretty low, it's gonna take a while (6-8 hrs or more) to bring them up to full.
