They feel very nice and "silky" on the skin, no roughness like some cheap hosiery. They are control top, but the control part is short, so yes, you CAN wear these with a shorter skirt. I'm very short (5 feet), and most control tops are so long, it's annoying. These are perfect. The "NUDE" color is perfect for very fair skin caucasian girls. I need the next step up as I have medium skin, so I'll just try another pair. These def feel nice enough to buy again.
