I like that the manufacturer provides the authentic 3M tape separately to ensure quality - as it would not coil well. Installation requires attention to detail and I measured each piece about 1/8 inch larger than required to mush the seams together so that they were tight with no gaps. I also purchased the matching corners - perfect together. I placed this on pointy wood trim in my playroom and it looks great and sticks well and does the job. The thickness is good as protection but doesn't stick out - it blends in well. Follow the instructions to uncoil the roll and let it straighten out for 24 hours prior to installation. Also, straighten the pieces while applying the double-sided tape.
