I’ve had these flops for about 2 months and they have held up well in almost daily use during that time. The yoga mat material is amazingly comfortable compared to other brands that I’ve purchased in the past. Straps are pretty loose compared to other flops but I’ve already gotten used to that feeling different.

Great fit and VERY comfortable! Ordered these in the spring and have been enjoying them all summer! First summer in a few years without any arch pain from my sandals.. Will be ordering more in different colors!

These had to be returned, as my husband walked in them the velcro kept coming undone

I bought two pairs of flip flops two years ago. Wanted to see which ones would feel best on my foot and which one would be a pretender. I didn't want to spend $100 or even $50 if it was possible. Wsy back in the day, I bought a pair of expensive guarachi sandals (the kind with adjustable straps around the heel and tire treads for soles. Paid almost $100 for those and they lasted me 25 years until the treads went bare.) At that point I wanted to venture back into basic slip on flip flops but I hated how most of the cheap ones would slip off my heel and have no srch support. This lead me to my search for the ultimate flip-flop at under $50. I read a ton of reviews and taking note of positive and negative aspects and finally narrowed it down to 2 brands: KuaiLu and Hobibear (Gubarun) . I was never able to figure out which country they came from but kind of assumed they were from China. The reviews were predominantly positive for both so I bought one pair each for less than $60 total. Keep in mind this was 2 years ago. Tried on both and was more than pleasantly surprised at the fit and support. Wow, major plus points for both. I'm a size 11 foot so purchasing shoes online is ALWAYS a crap shoot/ roll of the dice scenario. Both these flip flops felt so good i decided to do a week or so with one pair and then switch over to the other pair. Over time I figured I would come up with a clear winner. Now keep in mind that I was remembering the negatives of each shoe as written in the reviews, so I assumed that would take time. Keep in mind also that most reviews are written within a few weeks of purchase, while the emotional 'shine is still on the shoe'. Ok. Fast forward to this week, end of June, and almost exactly two years after purchasing both pairs of shoes. I started to have a slight preference for the Kailua due to its arch support and (for lack of a better, more descriptive term) hugability. These shoes were gripping my feet perfectly from the moment I slipped them on. The Hobibear sandals were just a smidge less so but I still stayed with the 'program', one week on and one week off (more or less). I like both these pairs but I love the Kailua shoes as my go-to shoes...2 years from purchase. Last week I got a new pair of Kailua sandals as a Father's Day present. It seems someone peeked at an old 'want list' I had on Amazon and figured i needed some. I was excited and expressed how much I loved them and proceeded to put them on the shelf for when the inevitable would happen (whatever that would be). 2 days later I was in the yard tending to some gardening duties in the hot sun. I squatted down with bent knees which caused the balls of my feet to flex/bend and..... pop! The centerpiece of the thong that runs into the sole of the shoe between the big toe and the 2nd toe broke. Worn out broken, not slipped out of the sole. I mention this because I remembered one other reviewer saying he had these shoes but they only lasted a month or so. Well here I am at the end of 2 years of competition. With relatively equal use of each pair, I can figure these Kailua shoes lasted me one year and I think I paid $28 for them. Would i recommend them? Oh heck YES! And the absolute best thing is.....I have a new pair of the same shoes just standing by ready for action. And a very good pair of Hobibear shoes still holding up well. Bottom line: 10 points for KuaiLu, 9 points for Hobibear. KuaiLu just has a slightly better hugability that i love. Hopefully this will help you shoppers who appreciate long term reviews. And for you Amazon shoppers, the scores would then be 5 versus 4.5. Walk on in comfort!
