ADjustable and functions very well at regulating fuel pressure on LS motor. Lube o rings when installing.

I bought this for my 1999 k2500 suburban with the 7.4l 454. I was having mild stuttering at normal acceleration and bogging conditions under more forceful acceleration. I had originally replace the FPR with a new Delphi FPR from RockAuto and still was only getting 50 psi on the fuel rail with the same issues. The Suburban ran and idled fine outside of the above mentioned issues. I still was not happy with the results and ended up here through some forum research. This FPR works great and is fully adjustable, my motor psi spec calls for 58 to 62 psi for proper operation and I was able to get this FPR adjusted to that setting easily with no issue. The set screw in the front is how you adjust it, it is an Allen key. Turn the set screw to the right to raise the psi and to the left to lower it. It held with in spec settings both with just the ignition on and also while the motor was running. All running issues have been eliminated and I could not be more pleased. It was about a 1.5 hour job that you can do at home, probably could have done it in a hour but I wasn’t in a rush.

Mixed feelings on this one. It's cheap, but I don't feel it is reliable. It ships set at minimum pressure which was 30psi on mine. My application is a 4.3 vortec so the regulator is under the intake manifold. To set it up, once the manifold was off and reg installed, I hooked the fuel lines up (with manifold still removed) and just ran the pump while adjusting the pressure to 64psi. Note, housing and screw are steel (not plastic). I put blue locktite on adjusting screw because if it shakes out it will probably lunch my engine. Then I removed the lines and reinstalled the manifold. Because there is a "bump" formed into the back of the manifold it will clear the reg and the adjusting screw which protrudes out the back. With engine running it sees a stable 56psi which is close enough. What I don't like is probably 50% of the time it will not hold residual pressure when engine turned off, quickly goes to zero. Because I don't trust it, have ordered the 90$ one from RA. Ask yourself, do you feel lucky?
