The slide boxes are sturdy, close securely, and the slots are actually all the same size and hold standard slides safely. As with all boxes of this style, the four slots by the edges of the box are risky, as the slides can tilt slightly which prevents closing the lid. Only issue so far. I may be buying more!

Great quality for the price, high quality plastic, 100 slide storage for any and all specimens. Fits twice as much as the wooden 50 slide box the bay harbor butcher used. Definitely will be buying more as needed.

Don't try stacking this like you would a real case for tissue processing, but for a hobbyist this should suffice. I bought it to keep paper slips from touching each other, but if I had glass slides in there with irreplaceable tissue samples and I knew I was going to be stacking the cases 5+ deep, I would spring for a sturdier box.

THEY LOOK FLIMSY AND PLASTICY IN THE PICTURE BUT THEYRE PRETTY STURDY AND HEAVY DUTY; BOUGHT FOR MY 5TH GRADER AND WAS ABLE TO PUT ALL OF HIS COLLECTION OF PREPARED SLIDES IN THERE NICE AND SNUG, REALLY SURPRISED THAT ITS SO NICE

Keeps the slide safe and secure. Great for the price!

This box is manufactured from good, structural plastic, ensuring the protection of slides and an easy open/close. No mold defects were present or interfered with the box functionality.

I still use mine to hold slides that are related in some way. It allows me to write info on the side about each slide also. It would be good for kids learning science / microscope & biology
