Is the new version better?** A: No. I’ve had a couple of the old design and love them. Smooth, and after yrs, seem to never dull— self sharpening also. The new design SQUEAKS horribly. After realizing that, I ordered another that was listed as the old design. I received a new model again. :( Also squeaks. Now I have no idea what to order. I’ve relied on Dahle for abt a decade. Hated Fiskars and the guillotine type (neither have had accurate 90° angles. What do I order now?? Bring back the old design, Dahle. En effet TOUTES les rogneuses de cette références ont un problème d'assemblage qui fait que la lame est mal placée et donc ne coupe pas mais déchire le papier. Ce défaut se règle en moins de 30 secondes : on ouvre le levier rouge qui tient la barre de glissement verrouillée, on fait glisser la barre en arrière pour sortir la tête de coupe, un petit appui sur le ressort, on replace la lame à sa place, on remet la barre en place, on reverrouille avec le levier et paf, c'est réglé... et on se retrouve avec une rogneuse juste parfaite.
